"We need to take more resources and put them into Afghanistan. I have been arguing for this since 2002 when I said we should finish the fight against Al Qaeda and the Taliban instead of going into Iraq. We need to take out Al Qaeda's leadership and the Taliban in Afghanistan."

Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, June 18, 2008

Wow, did the POTUS realize the job was harder than he imagined, did he lie on the campaign trail, or does he think we will forget what he said?

My question to KCWolfman, and really anybody who thinks this is a classic case of double-talk:

Do we want a President that will bind himself to a statement he reiterated to the campaign trail regardless of changing facts on the ground?

Or do we want a President that will adjust entire strategies should new information reveal itself?

So are you saying that this man who stated he has asked for troops for 6 years didn't know what he was talking about?

And now he states that he doesn't have enough data to make a determination. Obviously, he thought he did without a General a year ago.

Dance, little excuse man, dance.

Swing and a miss.

Ahhh, an intelligent response as usual.

Perhaps you should feign you don't understand again. That seems to work for you once in awhile.

Nothing works for me around here.

I'm the local liberal albatross, incapable of reasoning or pride in America. And I am not to be reasoned with.

Ask Pete, he'll tell ya.

I don't know why I would need Pete. Your statement has been vigorously proven throughout the last 2 days I have been on here.

It is the most honest statement you have made thus far.

When Obama said that he did not know he would be needed in Copenhagen for the Olympics Talks.

Give the guy a break.
