The world rejects Obama again and again. This guy's worldwide credibility and influence is in free fall. He said the world would love him, yet they tell him to stick it time after time. What a disaster he is.

Chicago got the LEAST votes out of the 4 cadidate cities. Man, that Obama magic sure didn't work.

Why is it Obama's fault? Not that the USOC could have just wanted to have it elsewhere.... Presidents don't get involved with this type of thing. He put himself and his credibility on the line. He made himself look silly. He's hurt his standing in the world yet again. He's becoming a laughing stock around the world.

He doesn't have time to make a decision about the troop surge in Afgahnistan. He'll get to it in a few weeks. But, he's got plenty of time to hop a jet and go to Copenhagen to make pitch for the Olympics. He's got a problem with his priorities. He's showing his true colors to America.

I'm one of the least inclined on this board to talk politics, but this all sounds like crap... didn't Bush spend weeks on vacation in his treehouse in Texas? I seriously doubt a trip to Copenhagen made DC grind to a halt for several days until he got back. And why would it make him look silly? It's not like he went there to campaign for Detroit... if you need a spokesperson for Chicago, why not two people who have lived there for many years, who have just a little bit of appeal on a global scale?

Okay, good to move this to DC...

He should be sitting down with McCrystal (sp?) and the military leaders to figure out how many troops will be sent to Afgahnistan. McCrystal says we MUST send a surge of troops. Obama just sits on his hands and says he'll get to it when he gets to it. At the same time, as he's too busy to make a decision whether to listen to his military leaders or not, he's not too busy to hop a jet and go pitch for the Olympics. He could have sent a U.S. delegation to Copenhagan. It's terrible decision making on his part. And it's terrible priorities. He was arrogant. He thought he could just walk in and the Olympic committee would bow to him like he bowed to the Saudi prince.
