I wonder how many of the Hispanic fans might have dual allegiances since the Jets have a Mexican QB??

Or, do Cubans hate Mexicans? I don't really know.

Hootie
10-12-2009, 06:58 PM
the Jets were the hot pick...opened at -1 and closed at -3...everyone was betting the Jets...didn't make any sense to me...Miami is a good team that is well coached...and the fans have a Monday Night HOME game...so you know they are going to bring their A game...and they face a ROOKIE QB coming off a terrible game...

So yeah, I tool the Dolphins money line and put a lot of gambling points on them via my geebler (19th of 138 right now, first prize is $5000)...

In honor of former Cub Marquis' collapse, I thought it might be funny to play some of fucktard Hootie's greatest hits about the St. Louis Cardinals:

On the Cardinals farm system:

Who? Who? Who? Who?

Colby Rasmus is the only one of those that will ever amount to anything. He's the only top prospect the Cardinals have.

Some farm system!!!!!!!!11
</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
11 months later that same farm system landed Matt Holiday and Mark DeRosa.

Quote:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td class="alt2" style="border: 1px inset ;"> Originally Posted by Baby Got Grbac http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/images/buttons/viewpost.gif (http://chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?p=4902299#post4902299)
The Cubs built the perfect team...

Big Z, Harden and Dempster in the playoffs...

You win with the bullpen and your bench down the stretch...who has a better bullpen or bench than the Cubs?
</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
The Cubs went 0-3. Those pitchers are a combined 27-23 with ERAs of 3.68, 3.91, and 4.09.

On the Cubs being built for the future:

Why do the Cubs need a farm system? CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!

YOU GOT BLANCO'D!

Back to the farm system...

We are set at LF, RF, 3rd, SS, 2nd, 1st, C and have a damn good pitching staff...

so have fun with your one top prospect and 5 other stiffs that might turn out but probably not...

Right here:

Drew Brees

On January 13, 2007, in his first playoff game for New Orleans, Brees was 20-32 in passing attempts with 1 touchdown and no interceptions vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in the Louisiana Superdome.

On January 21, 2007, Brees led the Saints to the franchise's first NFC Championship Game against the Chicago Bears. Though he completed 27 of 49 passes for 354 yards, and two touchdowns, Brees committed three costly turnovers. He was also penalized for an intentional grounding in the endzone, resulting in a safety. The Saints eventually lost to the Bears, 39-14.[6] After the season, Brees dislocated his left elbow during the first quarter of the 2007 Pro Bowl.[7] Despite not reaching the Super Bowl, the season was seen as a success for the team that was still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina and finished last in the division a year ago at 3-13.

Brees had his chance to lead his team.

Absolutely not. They had a suspect bullpen with a terrible closer who was riding an unsustainable run of luck, and their plate discipline was god fucking awful. Their offense produced far below what they should have due to poor coaching, and they couldn't hit left handed pitching worth a rat shit.

I love them, but that was not a very good team. Had they played in October like they did in August, sure, but that team was chugging cock for the better part of a month. Save for April and August, they were a sub .500 team.

I mean I love how the Cassel haters keep saying he's 27! He's 27! So fucking what? He stepped in after not playing all that time and passed for nearly 4,000 yards. Sanchez can barely do a things out there. Dink and dunk at best. So impressive. But he's went to USC so he must be great. And he plays in New York so he must be great. Whoopie.

While I think this is a pretty good point, I don't think we can overlook that Sanchez has a much better supporting offense, and a defense which takes the pressure off of him.

Also, Sanchez has had the same system for the last four months, where as, Cassel had his offense changed a few weeks ago. There is a reason teams have training camp.

Hey, I bought in originally.... but how can you not question some of the playcalling and decisisons over the last 8 weeks?

Firing Chan Gailey was stupid.... The fact that Cassel has looked as good as he has given the utter cluster f@ck that this offense has been is a good sign.... and I know he hasn't looked that good... but, only two INT's coming off an injury against good teams, with a poor OL and suspect WRs.... all in a new system..... sorry, but I am not going to be critical of that.

It's not a lofty word, it's a word that anyone who has taken one argumentative/persuasive class above high school knows. Just do your argument a favor and shut the fuck up, because you destroy your own credibility every time you post.

Excuse me Mr Brilliant Cheetoh eating internet poster. I didn't realize football discussion requires college entrance exams. I didn't mean to intrude on this intellectual discussion.

The one yesterday was because he was all shoulder.

You just have to realize if you come in high you're probably going to get a penalty.
The difference is that the Dallas play and the one tonight were on passes that were too high to catch. The one Page got flagged for would have been a catch if Page didn't separate the ball from the receiver.

Essentially, what you're saying is it's okay that the officials got those calls wrong, even though everyone else watching saw that it wasn't helmet on helmet.

No I'm saying they basically always call those so for someone to act like the officials were out to get the Chiefs or something was ridiculous.

The Chiefs got the same call for them yesterday and there was already a post about how it wasn't the same.

The league is to the point where if you come in high it's probably going to be flagged.

I just read on Mort's twitter that Pioli is going to sign Marc Anthony, since he's shown great versatility as a member of the Dolphins organization.

Looks to have him in shells by Wednesday.

And what I'm saying is that this is not justification for getting a call wrong.

The call aganst the Chiefs was bullshit.

The call against the Cowboys was bullshit.

We either need officials that can fucking see, or these type of momentum changing calls need to be subject to review.

I actually think the league wants them to be penalties, I think they want everyone to stop going high because they're tired of all the head injury pub.
