He cannot possibly have any value. He once played for New England. This can only be an old boys' club signing.

Who really cares, that the guy isn't a long-term solution? He's just here, until we can upgrade the position and he didn't cost us a pick.

Because if Edwards goes down (which IIRC he has done before, not to mention he is old) he is IT. All no more. Plus he has to get PT if they want any rotation at all.

Yea, I know, we'll be knocked from the playoffs, if Edwards get's hurt, right?

To fill out the practice squad another guy from LSU. Josh Looney again

FORMER LSU TIGER JOINS PRACTICE SQUAD
October 21st – 9:43 AM

Both the Chiefs active roster and practice squad have become complete for the time being. DL Marlon Favorite, a former teammate of fellow Chiefs defensive linemen Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson has joined the practice squad. Favorite entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Carolina in 2009. He was released by the Panthers following training camp.

Favorite is expected to join the club for practice this morning.

do we even have a scouting dept ... or are we just outsourcing the Pats'?

Was he seriously on IR for three seasons? I've never heard of such a thing.

That's pretty impressive. I want a player on my team who's smart enough to earn NFL money without ever practicing or playing.

LOL, yep that takes care of the smart but what about the big, strong and tough part. I guess 1 out of 4 isn't bad.

“We are going to build a big, strong, fast, smart, tough, disciplined football team,” Pioli said in his opening remarks. “And we are going to do that by going out and finding big, strong, fast, smart, tough football players. It sounds simple. It sounds very simple and hopefully in certain ways it will be.”
