I think you do yourself a disservice when you start threads like this when even you claim that you didn't vote for McCain. Obama got elected because the Republicans couldn't come up with a candidate or message that attracted conservative Americans to the ballot box.

I think that you do highlight a real problem that Republicans have right now, and that's that the party establishment doesn't know how to connect with young people. Except, of course, Ron Paul, who has an incredibly active and energized young support base who knows how to use the internet to organize and raise vast funds.

Speak for yourself...I have had the freedom to create not one but two businesses from the ground up.

I keep hearing how bad things are but I don't have time to really read deeper into it between all the client meetings I have each day.

He got elected because:

1) the Republicans had the office for 8 years and completely dropped the ball, then,
2) decided to run with a far-right wing agenda in the election (pushing McCain farther right than he belongs and picking the retard to run with him) instead of doing the smart thing and floating more toward the middle to pick up the moderate vote.

I know the idiot conspiracy theorists have about 1,952 other reasons, but I'll stick with the two above.

I know the idiot conspiracy theorists have about 1,952 other reasons, but I'll stick with the two above.Bush and Co. were spending like drunken sailors unlike the current plastered sailors who make the drunken sailors look like pikers by comparison. Their mistake was not running a true conservative who pledged to get spending under control and lower taxes.
Of course now with the law makers running naked through the streets throwing bundles of cash every which way every man woman and child is in debt to the tune of $347,000. And growing. :spock:
