I wanted Denver to sign Shaun Smith during the preseason. He is a pretty good player, just has a serious attitude problem.

I seem to remember a few around here wanting him when he was cut by Cleveland or whoever... Must have some potential/skills...

Maybe they meant to sign Shaun Smith last week but they accidentally clicked on Kenny Smith on the free agent screen and didn't realize the mistake until gameday.

Bill Lundberg
10-27-2009, 08:32 PM
Yeah, they just weren't as fortunate as the guy that drafted the "wrong" Steve Smith and struck gold.

This might be a dumb question, but if Smith is suspended does he count towards the 53 man roster? If not, I say sign him..

I don't think the suspension starts until you are actually an NFL employee and he hasn't been on a roster.

Pretty much shows you what they think of Kenny Smith after one week of practice.

I wouldn't put too much stock on that, if there's the rumor going around that Larry Johnson will be done. That means there'll be an opening on the 53 man roster.

Of course, I also don't know how serious Rudy's injury is, so there's the possibility there'll be 2 openings.

The Big Turd has gotten around a little, but the major stop was in Oakland before heading to the Pats.

2001 was with KC though - did we draft him???

I'd take a chance on Smith and pass on the Terd. Smith has the talent to play very well here for a few years and is a couple of years younger.

Flush the Terd.
