No, not talking about certain football players and/or teams.

If a family member shopped at Hancock Fabrics in the last three months with a debit card, you may soon be out of up to $500 from an authorized ATM withdrawal, and may have to deal with ID theft. Around 100 phony card scanner-keypads were installed in various stores from CA to MO, cards scanned with them, and phony duplicate cards made from those scanned cards.

Cancel your bank card if one of your family shopped there. This fraud thing is going to cost some banks/people money, time, and aggravation. Don't let it happen to you.

Hope they catch these guys and sentence them to hard time, and to sniffing Tom Cable's underpants after this Sunday's game.

I'm more of a "clean jerk" guy, flesh on flesh. But I've got some buds who do the fabric thing, like the way it feels I guess. Didn't know there were actual stores specializing in it though.

First-hand experience sucks. Wife shopped there a few months ago. I was made aware that numerous others got the un-good deed done to them.

(Heh, Michael's does have more variety....)

Just letting you know, so you may not have to go through it.

It's pretty crazy that I clicked this thread. I just sold a Bowflex on craigslist and the lady who bought it had to push back the pick up 3 days because someone took $500 from her ATM. She picked it up tonight and I asked her if she shops at Hancock Fabrics, oddly enough she does and was there Saturday. I told her about this and it may help her get her $$ back from the bank.

Thanks for posting.
