Wow, out of the 20 HOF QB's alive, 13 picked Peyton as a better QB, 2 picked Brady, 4 didn't vote and Montana played the crowd.

well, he isn't brady...but most years he had to score 30 every game to have a chance...he shoulder the entire burden

the year they won it, their D was bad in the regular season and amazing in the post season, a complete fluke I've never seen replicated...

I haven't bothered reading this thread, but I'm sure folks are going nuts over the 4th down call. Rightly so, as I can't ever recall seeing a decision like that in all my years of watching NFL football.

But it's really pretty straightforward -- do you deem your odds of success better at converting 4th and 2 with your high-powered offense, than your odds of stopping Peyton Manning and the Colts high-powered offense when they will have to go 70'ish yards with the 2:00 stoppage and 1 timeout, with them needing a touchdown. Add that your defense has had zero pass rush for quite a while now and is clearly gassed, and they have all the momentum in teh world.

The bad part was making the tackle on Addai. Should've let him score.
