Per ESPN Blog:

There are rumors connecting the Chiefs and New Orleans running back Reggie Bush should he become available in 2010. The Chiefs will likely look for running back in the offseason. Because Jamaal Charles is a speedster, Id expect the Chiefs to look for a bigger back.

Uh, I didn't realize that Reggie Bush is a type of a running back that can run between the tackles.

This clown has no idea about football. None. What a disgrace.

Saints would be foolish to let Bush go...

He's not necessarily saying Bush is a big back.

We're more likely to get John Riggins.

He's saying the Chiefs need a bigger back. I agree with that part. I don't agree the Reggie Bush part. Hell, Reggie Bush shouldn't even be part of the discussion anyways.

Jamaal Charles = Reggie Bush.

Bush might not be a terrible option honestly.

The guy has immense talent. He could add a new dimension to this offense.

Anyone who has homerun ability should be welcomed to this team with open arms.

Jamaal Charles = Reggie Bush.

That's a horrible, horrible comparison.

Bush has insane athleticism. Charles is a true speed guy. There's a big difference.

Bush>Charles easily...he could be a weapon if used right

I agree.

However, adding LenDale White would give you the thundr/lightening combo that you wouldn't have with Bush.

But at the end of the day, none of it matters, since none of these guys will actually be free agents with no new contract in place with the player's union.

If used right. This team has a long history of getting that correct :)

I don't think Bush is going to be a free agent. The Chiefs would need to trade for him.

I think you misunderstood his writing (which is slightly confusing).

1. There are rumors linking the Chiefs and Reggie Bush in 2010.

2. Williamson believes that regardless of these rumors, what the Chiefs really need a big back to compliment Charles.

Bigger? LMAO They're the same fucking size.

He's a playmaker regardless......i'd give up a 2nd/3rd for him.

Wouldn't suprise me. I was misunderstood, because it looked like the writer was implying that Reggie Bush was a "big back", if you will.

He's right about one thing, that the Chiefs need a big back. But I don't think Reggie Bush will be a free agent. I think the Saints will probably franchise tag him and give him a yr deal.

What I mean by that is neither guy is an up the middle runner. Both are sweeps, swing pass guys. So why would they bring in the same type of guy?

That's good for Reggie's agent.

Bush is a perplexing fit for an offense... hell, you would think he is the perfect fit for what the do in New Orleans, but he's so sporadic with production. He definitely needs to be in a wide open attack, with the dual-threat option... anything other than that is failure.

Chris Meck

It's not like Reggie Bush wouldn't help you; but he'd be a misallocation of funds, IMO. You have a similar player in Charles.

I think it would be feasible to find a bigger back in the mid rounds of the draft. Perhaps even a true fullback? You could motion Charles out to the flat and run it out of a one-back.

It says there are rumors connecting them. If it is rumors started by people who are merely speculating then its not a story and in fact is is the media creating a story out of thin air.

This is the smart thing to do, they really don't need him as they go with RBBC, and their passing game is so good they can run the ball at will with whomever. I mean Bush is deadly when they're running screens, but that's not the main focus of their offense. They Franchise him they IMO could get great valued picks and get some more playmakers at LB and in the secondary.

eh. bush is what he is and isnt gonna change. unless we can get a guy like AP in the draft id rather just use and abuse RBBC
