Amazing the NFL Network has the worst audio and announcers in football.

The mix isn't even right.

Shitty execution in the redzone for the Panthers.

I'm not watching the game, but I have a hard time understanding the Panthers being 1st and goal from the 7, and not giving the ball to DeAngelo or Jon Stewart once. Really want to put the ball in Delhomme's hands to win the game?

He had a nice pass to Muhammad that Muhammed dropped it at the 3. The 2nd down pass was to Steve Smith on a one-on-one matchup against the corner, but Delhomme's pass was right at Smith's feet. Didn't had a chance.

The 3rd attempt was a sack.

3rd & 1, Carolina throws a 40 yard pass. To me, this only makes sense if you're going to go for it on 4th & 1 on your 40. Otherwise, just stupid playcalling.

Coach
11-19-2009, 06:48 PM
I have to say that John Fox is a dumbass.

You go for a deep pass on a 3rd and 1 with a crappy quarterback, and you don't give it to your running back?

Nice way to sell the playaction by Henne and a good throw.

Halftime and they're interviewing Brandon Marshall and he's at his house. He's got a huge painting in the background of him and Cutler. :D

Explains his bitch fit in the offseason, he was heartbroken and trying to work a trade to Chicago.

I'm sure he'd rather have Cutler throwing to him rather than Orton/Simms.

Carolina should blow it up and rebuild.

A decent QB and they'd be competitive. Both backs are studs. OLine is decent. For now though, they should run the ball every damn play.

Definately a new QB, that offense suffers badly when they cant get the ball to Steve Smith, he wants out so they better look for a new WR as well.

Their red zone offense is worse than ours.

1st and goal 2x with a FG and a pick to show for it.

They need a QB, another WR, a completely new DL, and a safety. They have a huge rebuilding job, but they have no first round pick.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but there are just some really weird things about decisions made that struck me.

First, Carolina had no reason to use a timeout on the previous drive with over 3 and a half minutes left. That cost them in the end.

Second, Carolina didn't really have to go onside kick when they did. They had the option to kick it deep and still get a chance...although I can see the argument for going onsides there.

I don't understand why Miami didn't take a shot at the 46 yard field goal. And if they weren't going to do that, then actually go for the first down with play-action, a toss sweep, at least SOMETHING other than a fullback slam. For all the talk about the risk of a field goal for giving Carolina good field position, it's only a 10 yard difference at that point and they do have a good kicker.

I don't know, maybe I'm way off base but it just seemed strange to me.

Most importantly, how do you have a stud like DeAngelo averaging 10 yards a carry and only give him the ball 13 times in a tight game(and not once in the red zone)? It's idiotic.

Because everyone knows that you pass to score. You only run to win, and the Panthers needed to score.

They never ran the freaking ball all game. I dunno why they wanted to pass so bad in this game.
