I was just curious to see his stats and couldn't find him on the Rams roster. So I googled and According to wiki he's a FA. I didn't realize this.

He'd be an upgrade. Right?

He averaged 20 yards a return last year and he's almost 32.

That star burned bright but fast.

What if he needed a motivator just like Haley. You know, someone to make him lose 30 pounds while cussing at his whole family. Vermeil always said he had to be properly motivated to be good.

I can't knock him, he was a great part of the chiefs X-Factor baby

Sadly, yes. We haven't had a returner worth a crap since he left. Heck, even Vanover would be an upgrade assuming he's not in jail somewhere.

Vanover is doing very well. Turned his life around. Coaching high school ball down in Floriday last I heard.

Wow, I just noticed how lazy I was to not read 15 posts... Didn't know somebody else mentioned TV... glad he's doing well. I liked him.

Vanover... those days were fun, regardless of how the 90's washed out, i always felt that we had atleast a punchers chance, any time any where.

Vanover IMO could've been Devin Hester .1, the experiment was underway even as he began to crumble. A longstrider who took very little time getting up to speed, slashing moves, prototype, especially for the times size... ahhh, my personal Chiefs halcyon days...

PIOLIHALEY FINISH IT, COMPLETE OUR DESTINYYYYYY!

Not only do I remember this - they tried to move him to running back if I recall - I went about making it happen in Madden 99. I moved Vanover to RB and let the good times roll!

That would be unfair. That's 23 players off the street.

I wasnt so sold at the time on moving him to RB, i thought he was better suited for WR... he didnt seem to have the 'hop-steps' IMO to cut through the line consistently, but he could've possibly been a real bitch at WR.

Yea, Vanover, Hall... we Chiefs gamers have had some incredible toys to play with, but they all ended up being sold in yard sales, broken on a dirt mound under a tree or accidentally shipped off to Minnesota... :harumph:... :deevee:, MOOOMMM!

I think mostly it was a desperate move by the Chiefs. They had no speed at running back around that time. Vanover went about 220 pounds so he was big enough and obviously fast. Would have been interesting...
