I would say its the best day for the chiefs since the Jacksonville game in December 2006.

(Though the chiefs got some assistance in that fabled day.)

So an individual effort by the chiefs?

I would call it the best individual effort since the 2003 game against the packers, my fifth grade self was shocked for the entire week after that game.

I've only followed the team since '99, so as a Chiefs fan, this one's up there.

'course I was a cowboys fan in the 80's and 90's. Talk about going from suffering to glee. But today's game was nowhere near watching my team at the time win the superbowl in a room full of pissed off Redskins fans (I went to college in northern Virginia - that's actually why I rooted for Dallas; I was the anti-Redskin).

This is post from either a fool or a delusional pessimist.

Nothing was on the line???? Are you fugging kidding me? Ask Cassel or Haley if anything was on the line for them. Perhaps ask the rest of the team if they felt nothing was on the line after they just lost one of their most productive rushers and their most productive WR in the past couple of weeks. What about asking the fans if anything was on the line for them? Those who've continued to show up each week inspite of the despair and disappointment.

You are right. Nothing was on the line for this team and this win means jack shit.:spock::rolleyes::cuss:

Best win in awhile.

Better wins were Dantes Kick return to beat the Broncos in 2003 and then Trent Greens 4th quarter comeback against the Packers which I think was also 2003 but might have been 2004...

Im not sure this one ranks in my top 10...

Aside from Montana's magic both in the playoffs and at Mile High, that would be the top 3.

Vanover's return against San Diego on Monday night in 96 or 97 and Stoyo's game winning FG in 1997 round out my top 5.

Dante's returns in both the Baltimore game (I was there!) and Denver the following week would be next.

The Rison TD catch in Oakland on MNF in 98 or 99 at the end of the game is another, and then the win in 2003 against Green Bay coming back after being down all day in OT.

And finally beating Denver at Arrowhead last year...to break the 20 straight losses or whatever KC had going.

As compared to?

A punt return by Dante Hall for a TD to beat the Donks, A late TD by Rison, last minute fireworks from Montana to beat horseface, A Kieth Cash TD catch...

This was a surprise but it's essentially meaningless in the standings and not remotely in the top 10 in the past decade imo.

The best win was the 1969 AFL Championship when we upset the Raiders. That was even sweeter than the Super Bowl victory, especially since the Raiders were so confident that they had already packed their suitcases and planned to leave Oakland right after the game to fly to the Super Bowl. Instead, they had to walk past everybody carrying their suitcases, with no place to go. It was hilarious.

I'll never forget Len Dawson doing his sports segment a day or two later on channel 9. He put the letters "C H U M P S" on a board and said "This is the Raiders". Then he replaced the "U" with an "A" and said "This is the Chiefs".

The Playoff game at Houston when KC went to their house at beat the shit out of them was pretty exciting.

the happiest I've been as a Chiefs fan in my adult life was Herm's first year when Denver choked at home and Nedney (I think) nailed that field goal that sent the Chiefs (who needed like 5 exact scenarios week 17) to the playoffs...
