Haley / Pioli have been picking up other team's garbage off the street and have achieved 3 wins. Technically, it's probably not actually 22 players. But, we've got a lot of guys who were free agents and were cast off from their previous team. I like how Pioli / Haley have not stopped bringing in guys and trying to improve the roster.

Technically, it's probably not actually 22 players.

Let's see:

Chambers
Belcher
Brown
Castille
Copper
Daniels
Herron
Long
Mays
O'Callaghan
O'Connell
Pope
Richardson
Rogers
Ryan
Smith
Wade
Walters
Goff
Engram

20 who were on the active roster at some point + we released Beisel, who we signed off the street....and there has to be one more that we cut at some time...hmmmmmmmm!

I count 19 guys off the street on their current 53-man roster. Maybe those last three spots are why we're at 3 wins.

Oh, and Gut, too. That makes 22.

Goff played this year and so did Engram. They contributed to our glorious one-game improvement.

Hmmm, I always took 22 guys off the streets as all starters from the streets. 11 offense, 11 defense. Maybe I just took it too far.

I'm sure that's what he meant, but it's fun to stretch it a little to the whole roster.

Nice, well-balanced contribution today by a lot of players.

I bet a lot of viewers today were constantly saying "who?"..."who?" (many of the KC fans, heh)

I completely missed the Castille signing... that was the only "who?" moment of the game for me.

LMFAO

I was in shock with the option toss. Felt like college ball and I loved it.

I love the FB position. This team has had a gaping hole there since Richardson left. Cox has been just ok IMO. At this point I am ready to pull for anyone at the position as long as they own it.

Fullback is all but irrelevant in today's NFL

While that may be true, sad as it is, if we are going to have someone at that position... may as well be someone worth two shits as opposed to just a warm body.

Hell, we can always throw one of our shit TE's out there in front of a tailback if need be.

We tried that with Kris Wilson.

That didn't work out too well.

Since Haley did it, will Whitlock will finally shut his trap.

While mostly true, on teams like the Chiefs with such shitty OL you often see big FB's contributing to pass protection. Yesterday, Cox got owned several times. Either don't put a FB on the field, or get someone who can do the job. As long as the position steps on the field, it's not irrelevant (especially if he misses a blocking assignment).

EDIT:
Maybe I should have read pr_capone's post.

I think we'll get a couple of more wins too. It'll hurt our draft position, but finally starting to feel a little better about this team.
