 The simple fact is that every President, good and bad, since Washington has endured an extremly active and outspoken opposition party that was TRULY AND UTTERLY convinced that the policies of the President were absolutely ruining the nation.

Even Washington had to deal with some serious criticisms which were being popularly fed by a newspaper run by someone that Thomas Jefferson, highly improperly, put on the State Department payroll. The vehemence of the opposition was so "bad" under John Adams that the Congress and his administration passed the Alien and Sedition Acts, which was almost certainly an unConstitutional violation of the First Amendment.

Exactly what was it that he competent at? The principle reference would imply he was promoted to a level he is incompetent at. I have yet to see what he has done less than being black but not so black the libs would not voted for him and being a slickly marketed bullshit artist. The only thing impressive about this idiot is his campaign mangers and his teflon image that does not allow the scum he has associated with to stick to him. He is an embarrassment and the Peter Principe is a compliment in his case and one he is unworthy of~

Simple spirits are captivated by shiny things and cry when someone tells them their favorite cartoon character sucks.

Actually, this is a thread about Obama. It seemed to promise quite a lot with the thread premise, but then it didn't deliver.

So great job, Dave!
