So I'm having a few drinks with some friends and of course the topic is the NFL Play-Offs and yours truly speaks up and basically says I'm not watching the Superbowl if it's Colts/Cowboys because I focking can't stand either team.

Naturally,my buddies jump on this knowing how much I love the NFL and have told me my mouth might have written a check my ass can't cash and trying my best to be a stand-up guy/friend I'm thinking if this happens I'm going to have to go through with it if for nothing else to proove I can.

Just get drunk again. I do this every year, and talk shit about whoever is playing. Its fun.

Yes, get drunk again and start talking shit, and drinking rules demand that your most recent statements supersede anything you've said previously.

Wait, the 'check' you butt can't cash is not watching a game between two teams you hate? And if you watch, that's it's own punishment? What exactly does your friend have to do with this situation exactly?

I had the same thing happen this weekend. After KU spanked Temple, and a few drinks, and after some conversations with KU buddies that got my completely pumped about the KU-Texas game, I declared that I am going to buy a new TV and host a party for the game. I also sent out mass texts.

So it looks like I’m having a party now, despite having no money to buy a new TV and my tiny apartment that can’t seat more than 2 people comfortably.

Man, there are a lot of people around here that could learn something from this.

No doubt you'll go through with it if it happens, Joe.

The only reason Bob Dole would watch would be with the hope that Indy kicked the shit out of them and Bob Dole could repeatedly yell, "TONY ROMO!" and annoy the shit out of the 150 Cowboy fans sitting in the bar.

My bet is that you won't have anything to worry about.

But if it is a Colts/Boys Bowl... I'm sure you'll do the right thing.

First time I said that to someone I almost had to hit myself, 'cause I didn't even do it on purpose. I'm broken in soooo many ways.

I think he's asking why you would watch the game in the first place, regardless of anything you said, since it would be against two teams you can't stand.

Apparently he's never seen your game room...

That reminds me of Raiders/Bucs Superbowl, went to a local bar wearing a Bucs cap and walked in to a bar full of silver and black wearing patrons.I spied one table with four people wearing Bucs gear and walked up and introduced myself and a friend and they made room for us at their table.

Seeing that I don't know how a Chiefs Super Bowl victory feels I can say that had to be one of the most satisfying absolute joyous feelings I've ever experienced.Me with my loud assed mouth cheering on the Bucs in a bar filled with wanna be Raider Fans and yelling stuff like,"OOOOPS,there's a 3rd pick for Mr Gannon!!"

LMAO

I was in college, and there was a Raiders fan on our floor... my roommate bought a Bucs jersey, and we watched it in Raider fan's room. He left for a while in the second half and we wandered around the hall, and found him in the fetal position on some girl's room. Best Super Bowl party ever. :D

I don't know,to go into New Orleans like they did and hold that offense to 17,then travel to a division foe and shut them out followed by a huge game and shut out of Philly. That defense has me a little nervous and we all know what they say about good defense, unless of course you're the '95 Chiefs :(

I'd love to see a Colts vs. Cowboys SB. My entire family are Cowboy fans except I absolutely hate them. I am a huge Peyton Manning fan which makes the Colts the team I root for (except against the Chiefs) until KC gets better.

I'd love to see Manning kick Dallas' ass.

How in the hell anyone(much less someone who calls themselves a Chiefs fan) can be a Manning fan is way beyond me.

Hmmm...

I guess it depends on the Cowboys defense against the run. Or how the Cowboys Oline holds up against the Minnesota D. They might stand a better chance than I thought.

But does Dallas beat Philly three times in one year? I know they stomped them this weekend.

Don't worry....the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game in almost as long as our team; i don't see that changing now.
