The game that accompanies the movie should be bad ass. I know several of the people involved in the post-production of the game that have told me it's unlike any other.
As for the movie, I haven't gotten that far in discussion. If I hear anything, I'll pass it on.

Awesome! When I first saw the trailer I was worried that this could end up like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

All I want is a competently executed Blockbuster/Summer-style movie. That shouldn't be hard and the previews give me hope.

Looks like a great summer popcorn movie.

Personally, I'm happy with a great ju-ju bean summer movie, but to each, his own.

Could this finally be the first GOOD video game to movie transition?

In all honesty, I don't know. I don't play video games so I'm really ill-informed about such things.
I DO know that there are some very special things about this particular game and that the music score itself will be incredible - not repetitive and very innovative. I've also been told the game itself is very, very cool.
That last part remains to be seen (and played).
Anyone play the "original" game back in 1989? I remember playing that on my 386 :)
For the time, it was a very cool game with excellent animation.

Of course. They made a clone of it for 360 arcade except with modern day graphics - everything else stayed the same. One of the best arcade purchases out there.
