Anyone here ever sat down and played through this game? I'm looking for an atmospheric, turn all the lights off at night and creep me out of me type of game that will last thru winter and this one seems to fit the bill. I've read it can be buggy but if you purchase thru Steam they have all the updates and bugs resolved so shouldn't be a problem.

Any input or recommendations? If recommendation it would have to be PC platform.

Thanks

Damnit I hadn't heard of this game and was hoping they were coming out with a movie.

Only game I played like that was the original Resident Evil, when I was 13 or 14. Friend and I would sit in my basement and play that at night with no lights for about an hour before we would have to turn one on... too freaky when you open the door (load screen) and a zombie is on the other side lunging. Brilliant design.

I played through this one a few years back. Atmosphere is spot on. Right up there with Silent Hill 2.

Wow, that looks silly disturbing. I'm actually going to download that one when I get home.

Update this thread once you have gotten to play some of it. Let us know what you think.

I did download and buy the game but we were sitting at happy hour on Friday (nothing but tonic water and a lime for the sake of the 90 day sobriety thread) and one of the guys in operations showed me Bioshock and I got hooked on that game.

Yes, we were at a bar and sitting around with a laptop. I know and I'm not proud.

I played Bioshock until about 3am last night. That's some pretty twisted retro (dystopian? I don't know the word off the top of my head) shit. I fell in love right away.

I'm basically snowed in this weekend and boredom is weighing heavy. Going back in now. I'm at the point where I have to take pictures of those guys crawling on the ceiling.

Just the twisted game I was looking for, it's pretty cool. If this one doesn't last a couple weeks I'll give you my thoughts on that game quick but I've been sidetracked.

Rightfully so. The first few chapters of Bioshock are some of my most memorable gaming moments. Easy to immerse yourself into Rapture.
