Heh. Lonesome Dave was alright. (I have all 5 Foghat albums.) Foghat didn't have Goldy McJohn.

I always loved the opening of Easy Rider at the end of the runway with the drug deal going down and they are playing "The Pusher Man". Almost never heard that song on the radio. Way back when, I counted how many times John Kay said god damn the pusher man, and came up with 33 times.

I actually saw John Kay solo in 1972, he opened for Deep Purple Machine Head tour. I remember all week hearing commercials for the show and they were playing Steppenwolf songs. Then the actual concert, he comes out by himself with a steel guitar and sits on a stool and plays Hank Williams songs, needless to say that routine didn't last long.

they ain't no Foghat.Odd that you say that, saw an outdoor show in 1997 called Summer Daze. It was Foghat's 25th Anniversary and had all the original members, however they played before Blue Oyster Cult and Steppenwolf. They were all good, actually Pat Travers played before all of them and his bass and kick drum were so loud it felt like getting kicked in the chest, I had to move back about 100 feet to watch him. I guess I was mostly there to see Steppenwolf, since I graduated in 1968 they are sort of the soundtrack to my high school days.
