I've always thought about joing a golf league.

how is it? is it expensive?
I'm by no means a good golfer, but do enjoy playing.

This one happens to be free at my Country Club, with weekly optional betting*. I have played in some in the past where they charge $10 a year (basically the sign up fee for GHIN) and then you pay the weekly green fee rates.

Usually all skill levels are encouraged to participate as the groups will be decided by the local pro based on skill level.

*There is no betting allowed at Bushwood CC.

good info.
are green fees less during the week (I'm assuing most of these leagues play during the week)?
And do they rotate/chang up courses every now and again?

You typically will get twilight fees during the week as the leagues will start after normal working hours. I do not know of any leagues that change courses because the leagues I have played in have been organized by the course. That doesn't mean they don't exist.

I play in a league sponsored by my company, but we don't get any special deal. Still, it's pretty cheap.

We play at OP on Monday after work. We get twilight rates which means we pay $14 for nine holes and get a few freebies along the way. Not a huge discount, but it gets us out every week to play and have fun.
