I'm wondering why they doubled the post the whole game and didn't that last time. Nevermind that, what was that horrible offense they ran coming out of the timeout toward the end of the game?

I'm going to kick you in the tremendous fail.

Since you're dumb as shit, I'll explain it up front. That way it will be easier for everyone.

I'm equating tremendous fail to your dick.

Yea I don't understand the play called after the timeout too. I mean passing the ball around near half court and melting the clock instead of driving vs the zone and kicking it out?

The 2 schools of thought are to play for the last shot or score quick and foul. preferably the former.

The easiest way to beat a zone is move the ball and make the zone shift, creating a seam at the high/low post or beating the rotation to an open shooter (presuming they didn't have a set play). Typically driving is ineffective because if you beat the man on you, you go right into help. It takes a pretty prolific slasher to effectively drive against zone.

I didn't have a problem with the passing, but the shot selection was awful. Even if he made it, there was plenty of time for them to work an open shot. Their only real strategy could have been make the 3 and foul. They needed to either go for 2 for 1, which is risky because the game clock was lower than the shot clock, or make the last shot.

And they'd still get the shit kicked out of them by the dead last D-I NCAA men's team. They'd be lucky to stay within 20.

"Most people" are right - Women's basketball is not a sport. It's a game; similar to rec-league bball and/or foosball.

But but but...Doc is a good coach, if only he had some talent!

You know I was watching this game and three things jump out at me. And they are the very things that made me want Jim Wooldridge not only fired, but burned at the stake.

1) NU took almost 60 shots (57) to Baylor's 40.

2) NU shot 13-16 from the FT line. (81%)

3) NU committed 3 turnovers. THREE!

76 total shots to score 53 points. Holy F*ck that's so Wooly-esque it makes me want to vomit.

You can't possibly lose at home when you do those three things on your home floor. Unless you're Doc S(lth)adler. How does an X's and O's 'genious' manage to get out coached by Scott Drew?

They coulda had Mark Fox!

My favorite was when Nebraska played Kansas pretty tough and all those Jayhawks took turns talking about how great a coach Sadler was. The lone Nebraska fan comes in and basically says... WTF? I don't see it.

[Not only is a he a great X's and O's guy]... He's building the program "the right way".

That would make him more successful than the single bomber who blew himself up outside the OU stadium. (i think)

I liked the excuse that he's a good coach cause all the other coaches say so. I mean yea he's 1-8 in confrence but he gives a good hand shake at the end of his game and his players sweat so you know they play hard.

What's the right way?

It's a term propagated usually by opposing fans for a coach who can't really win or recruit. It's a coach who "keeps it close", but loses way more than he wins, but he makes opposing fans say "He's so close. Just needs to get over the hump".

Or like ROY said the other day:

"Give him a few more years and he'll have then near the top of the Big XII:

Never mind that Doc is in his 4th year and that he'll be jettisoned at the end of this year or next.

It's also a presumption that everybody but that coach gets recruits by being dirty and underhanded.

Yeah, two types of them. The alumni, who are a bunch of pretentious pricks, and the Nebraska football fans who jump on their bandwagon once football season is over, who are just plain annoying.
