Just looking for a decent deal on a backup. 19" would be find in this case. Anyone know of any down and dirty deals out there?

I dont know how much you are looking to spend but these are pretty reasonable for brand new monitors..

and I bet the monitor would be great for what you use it for

That's kind of what I figured. For $99 bones on a local level, I can't see where I can go wrong.

One thing I'd add.... be sure that the monitor you get has the correct connection to match your computer.

Monitors these days come with VGA, DVI, or both.

VGA connector looks like this: http://dsnimg.dell.com/images/external/images/Monitor/VGA%20Port.JPG

DVI connector looks like this: http://pix.crutchfield.com/kb/hd_connectors%5Cdvi_connector.jpg

Check the computer to see which it has, and make sure the monitor you choose has the right connector to match the computer. Normally the really cheap monitors like this only have VGA.
