The Kansas City Chiefs (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/KAN) have gotten all but one restricted free agent inked for the 2010 season.
According to Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com (http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article-2/Insider-Blog-Only-One-Remains/36cf4838-89c1-422f-932d-3432b9d3e215), LB Corey Mays (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1687/Corey_Mays) signed his second round tender this afternoon, which means only S Jarrad Page (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/2390/Jarrad_Page) is left to sign his RFA tender.
Page, as Looney points out, was also the last player to sign in 2009.
Assuming Page signs, this will be the second season he's played under the one-year restricted free agent tender.
For more information on the Chiefs tenders, check out Mr. Looney's post. (http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article-2/Insider-Blog-Only-One-Remains/36cf4838-89c1-422f-932d-3432b9d3e215)

I wonder if Page will start for us this year. He is atleast better than McGraw in coverage.

Page won't sign until he sees who we draft.

If the Chiefs draft a couple of safeties, he'll demand a trade.

When's the deadline for players to sign their tenders? I thought it was before the draft.

And he has absolutely zero leverage to get one.

Even if they went with Berry, Page could still be looked at as a SS, which I believe he played in college.

If we can't get one in the draft, who would be any better, I would have no problem with him coming back. I'd rather have him than anyone else we have on the roster right now save for maybe Morgan, who has never lived up to his potential.

Page didn't sign last year until May 26th, I believe.

Yes, he does have leverage.

What I think could happen is that we could draft Berry and move Page to strong safety. This would not be a bad option at all.

Page doesn't have the smarts, physicality, or the in-the-box instincts to play strong safety. I think he is what he is--he's a free safety with good not great cover skills who doesn't have exceptional closing speed.

On a good KC Defense Page would be a part time, rotation player. He's ok, that's it.

maybe that will encourage the team to address the safety position.

I wonder if Page has thought about going back to baseball
