Beat me to it. Once the entire nation learns who Charles is and when they see his ability to run a touchdown for more than 50 yards, the Chiefs will receive a lot of attention throughout the season.

There's the case for the Chiefs. They ought to schedule a bye for the Patriots the same week the Broncos and Chiefs play a MNF or SNF game so that Bill Belichick can do the coin toss and just go all out with Patriots Day.

I'm still not expecting it, but it would be a lot of fun if we did get a primetime game!

According to the Bills BB ESPN wanted Denver @ SD on Christmas Day and got it. That means we close the season either against Denver or SD. (My thinking is if it is Denver its away, SD would be @ home).

WTF are you talking about?

We don't deserve a prime time game. Oakland doesn't either, but with the creation of the MNF doubleheader on opening weekend, the league doesn't have a lot of options for a West Coast game.

Raiders, Chargers, Seahawks, Niners.

My guess is that since the Raiders and Chargers played last year, either the Hawks and/or Niners will get it this year.

Pete Carroll's re-entry into the NFL might be enough to get it done. Maybe they'll play the Cardinals in Week 1 for the Leinart vs. Pete Carroll thing.

I'm seeing 8-8 and I have to say I don't like early byes, but in our case that is sandwiched between the 49ers and Colts. The 49ers are going to be pretty good this year from the sounds of it (could win the the NFC West). Will be nice to recoup after that game and have a extra week to get ready for Peyton Manning. Our toughest part of the schedule is yet again early in the season anyways.

Getting the Chargers in week 1 is probably about as good as we can get them. As much as the usual suspects will whine and complain for 6 months.

1) The crowd should be good for primetime... not like there'll be a huge influx of Charger fans.

2) Norv usually doesn't get the guys playing right until week 6 anyway.

3) I've been laughed at the last two years for saying this but more weird upsets happen week one. Teams are still shaking the rust off... we've played both the Pats and Ravens tough the last two years and that was on the road. I'd rather play them early rather than late.

I hope all is well. I just wanted to first thank you for your support as a Chiefs Season Ticket holder, also to drop you a line to let you know that some seats have opened up directly next to your current seats in Section 109 Row 8 Seats 10-11 and are available for the 2010 season. If you have any friends, family or coworkers who you think may be interested in these seats let me know and I will be happy to add these seats to your account for 2010. We currently have seats available that have not been open for 4-5 years, so now is the perfect time to pick up those hard to get seats.

Here is espn take on our schedule

Breakdown: The last time we saw the Chiefs they played their best game of 2009 with a convincing win at Denver, knocking the Broncos out of the playoff race in Week 17. Running back Jamaal Charles ran for 259 yards and he looked like the NFL’s next great running back.

The Chiefs looked as if they could be ready for prime time. They better be, because the Kansas City Chiefs will be in the national spotlight in Week 1.

In a bit of a surprise, the Chiefs will host four-time defending AFC West champion San Diego in the back end of a "Monday Night Football" doubleheader on Sept 13 on ESPN. The Chiefs have added high-profile coordinators Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel and running back Thomas Jones to pair with Charles. They will get a special debut as the country gets a look at refurbished Arrowhead Stadium.

Complaint department: Three times, Kansas City plays back-to-back road games. It does so in Weeks 5-6 (at Indianapolis and Houston), Weeks 9-10 (at Oakland and Denver) and Weeks 14-15 (at San Diego and St. Louis). If the Chiefs, who have won a total of 10 games the past three seasons, are going to improve, they will have to handle these stretches.

Nothing too tough: The Chiefs have a fairly manageable schedule. They play just four games against teams which made the playoffs last season.

Super Bowl champs go head-to-head with World Series

Baseball's changes to the post-season schedule last year left World Series games on just one weekend instead of two. The format will be the same this year but that one weekend will provide some new competition.

The NFL, announcing its 2010 schedule today, decided to go head-to-head with Game 4 of the World Series on Halloween night, Oct. 31. And it's probably no coincidence that the game on NBC features one of the league's more popular draws, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in New Orleans against the Super Bowl champion Saints.

Under baseball's previous format, when the World Series began on one weekend and could last until the next, the NFL did not schedule Sunday night games opposite Series Game 2 but did schedule them versus a possible Game 7.

Can we break down the possible wins and losses?

Do I have my homer glasses on for this?

Wins:
Week 2 Browns
Week 3 49er's
Week 6 Texans
Week 7 Jaguars
Week 8 Bills
Week 9 Raiders
Week 11 Cardinals
Week 12 Seahawks
Week 13 Broncos @ Chiefs
Week 15 Rams
Week 17 Raiders

This is 11 wins.

I mean is this out of the realm of possibility? Now the homer glasses might be on for the Jaguars but that is a home game for the Chiefs. But who else in that list is not beatable? Cardinals??? they are starting a new QB with no Warner. Texans might be another homer pick.

What are your thoughts?

And not to go the game hungover.

I'd be willing to pay him for room and board, even if it's my air mattress on the floor in the game room.

:bong:Can we break down the possible wins and losses?

Do I have my homer glasses on for this?

Wins:
Week 2 Browns
Week 3 49er's
Week 6 Texans
Week 7 Jaguars
Week 8 Bills
Week 9 Raiders
Week 11 Cardinals
Week 12 Seahawks
Week 13 Broncos @ Chiefs
Week 15 Rams
Week 17 Raiders

This is 11 wins.

I mean is this out of the realm of possibility? Now the homer glasses might be on for the Jaguars but that is a home game for the Chiefs. But who else in that list is not beatable? Cardinals??? they are starting a new QB with no Warner. Texans might be another homer pick.

What are your thoughts?

Get excited, Chiefs fans. Clark Hunt has September 13th circled on his calendar and plans to make it an even for fans to celebrate in "grand style".

"It won't be your typical opener I can tell you that," Hunt told Kevin Kietzmann on 810 WHB's Between The Lines this evening.

"The fact that we'll be playing at night on Monday Night Football alone makes it special. But certainly given that it's the grand re-opening of Arrowhead Stadium, we'll go out of our way to make it an extra special evening for the fans."

The Chiefs will be playing the second of two MNF games that day, which means kickoff isn't until 9:15 PM. The late start was never an issue, Hunt says, and they would actually prefer it for this occasion.

"if you think about having a big party to re-open the new Arrowhead. It's best to do it late in the evening where everyone can really celebrate in grand style."

And that's just week one. Overall, Hunt is pleased with the Chiefs schedule and, just like us, has already started looking at what games the Chiefs can win.

"In general, I really like the flow of the schedule," he said. "We're not out on the road at any point for three weeks. It's a good mix of home and away games.

"I think it is fun to think about the month of December and the Chiefs competing for a playoff spot. Not a better place to do that than at Arrowhead in week 16 and 17."

They are going to have to clear out the lot after the Royals game.

No way they allow people to stay, even if they have a parking pass for both. Logistics would be a nightmare.

Then again, they have 5 months to figure it out - but I don't see them relaxing the tailgating rules.

Report Violation

Week 1: San Diego-W New stadium will be loud and Chiefs will want to put on a good show
Week 2: @ Cleveland-W
Week 3: San Francisco-W This one could go either way, but we are at home so Chiefs get the edge
Week 4: Bye
Week 5: @ Indianapolis-L
Week 6: @ Houston-L
Week 7: Jacksonville-W
Week 8: Buffalo-W
Week 9: @ Oakland-W
Week 10: @ Denver-L Chiefs almost always have a hard time winning in Denver
Week 11: Arizona-W Arizona without Warner is like taking Manning from the Colts
Week 12: @ Seattle-W
Week 13: Denver-W
Week 14: @ San Diego-L Maybe if the Chiefs can stop the Chargers Passing game they can win... Berry!!!
Week 15: @ St. Louis-W
Week 16: Tennessee-W If the Chiefs can control the clock and keep Johnson off the field anything could happen
Week 17: Oakland-W

Season: 12-4

Obviously this is extremely optimistic, but two 1,000 yard backs can control the pace of the game and the new offensive line can now better protect Cassel who can hopefully find open receivers that can hold on to the ball (Bowe). The Chiefs have an overall easy schedule and with the new coaching staff and a strong draft we very well could be a team like the Jets. Chiefs will need to play with a chip on their shoulder and play strong team defense since we really don't have any big-time defensive players, but a group of budding stars in Flowers and Carr at CB and maybe Berry at S. The defensive line is the big question. Can we pressure the QB?

I don't know that this is an easy schedule at all. There only a few teams on that list that aren't playoff caliber. Browns, Rams, Jags, Niners, Raiders and Bills are teams we might beat. I'm seeing 6-10 realistically unless we really get more talented Free Agents. If we draft Berry and some amazing Olinemen, and get better at LB in Free Agency... the 8-8 is possible. Anything above that is just a fantasy.

Eli Manning completed 20 of 34 passes for 247 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. Peyton Manning was 25 of 41 for 276 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

The Giants trailed, 23-21, when they took possession at their 10-yard line with 4 minutes 58 seconds remaining. On third-and-2 at the 18, Manning completed a 19-yard pass to Tim Carter along the right sideline. Fans cheered. Halfway to the huddle, Carter learned he was called for pass interference against cornerback Nick Harper.

Replays, including one on the large video boards inside the stadium that elicited a chorus of disenchantment, showed a phantom bump.
