People were posting personal insults to people IIRC. Plus the amount of tags that were added made the front page pretty unmanagable. Like everything else, they worked well and were funny as shit until people took it too far.

I don't need the rep, but they are at the bottom of the page, and they are meant to be another way to find threads about a particular topic. But of course they were never used for their actual purpose here. And there's something like a 20 character limit, so it's a challenge to see who can fit the most funnay into that amount of characters. You'll see them soon enough.
