Another reason why I'm pissed the NFL changed it to Thursday at 4:30 pm PDT. My girlfriend just got two free playoff tickets to tonight's playoff game and she wants to leave at 5 pm (8:00 PM EDT). That's about the time the Chiefs will be picking right, if they don't trade down. Guess I'll have to DVR it :shake:

Ouch....Yeah, DVR it and avoid all radio and other sports news until you get home.

Or...Stream from your phone, but the other people in the audience won't understand why you're yelling at certain points.

Well if you decide to stay home for the draft tell your girlfriend I will go with her so she doesn't have to watch it alone.

ROFL "Why in the hell is that guy yelling and cussing at intermission???" I'm not a huge hockey fan but the games between these two teams have been incredible. My gf lives and dies with the Sharks, like I do with the Chiefs.

You'd be a goddamn moron to stay and watch the draft instead of going to an NHL playoff game.

Go to the game, not even close. One is being out and having fun. The other is sitting and watching your TV.

This. And I don't even like hockey. But unless you're made of money, chances to go to playoff games don't exactly come around every day.

Playoff Hockey vs. draft picks (that could be streamed to your phone)? I'm not sure there are too many people that would even ask the question. There are even fewer that would be dumb enough to stay home.

True, but it does not apply in this situation.

It's not between a Live NFL game and a Live NHL game. It's between the draft and a playoff hockey game. Easy choice IMO and I don't like hockey.

I don't like hockey either, but I've heard from other people that aren't into hockey say going to a live game is pretty cool.

I used to go to the KC Blades games all the time. They where an awesome team and it was always fun.

Hockey is awesome live. You don't really get a sense of the speed or violence of it watching on TV.

Go to the NHL playoff game and have a blast, because you will. Check in on the draft afterwards.

I have a similar decision to make - though mine isn't sports related. George W. Bush is speaking at my school tonight, not happy about him being scheduled on the same night as the draft.

You can also see the plays develop better. You see the defensemen pinch in better than you can on TV.

Playoff hockey in person is a nearly orgasmic experience.

This isn't even close - you go to the game.

Let me sum up the draft for you:

First 30 minutes - Sam Bradford to the Rams.
Next 30 minutes - Suh and McCoy discussion.
Next 4 hours - where will Tim Tebow land? If Clausen slides they will focus on the slide. 30 second clips of other prospects who were actually drafted.

I absolutely love the draft but I would still go to a playoff hockey game, especially this one with the series tied 2-2. Live playoff hockey is tough to beat.

It is a tough decision... I'd recommend bringing along one with an extra clip, just in case you miss with your first rounds.

Go to the game, thats what Im doing, Go Nashville Predators!!!! If something epic happens in the game you will always have an awesome memory. Then again if something happens that in favor of the other team you may wish you had stayed home lol. The best choice is still the game!
