Since we're winding down on this draft, who are some guys that you would like the Chiefs to go after in Free Agency? Here are some guys I would like:

Brandon Lang
Tony Washington
Jarrett Brown
Selvish Capers
Jeremy Williams
Blaire White
Danario Alexander
Lindsey Witten
CJ Wilson
Jeff Byers
Ciron Black
Kurt Coleman
Micah Johnson
Kade Weston
Danny Batten

Prime D2 UDFA candidates:
Tony Washington, OT, Abielene Christian
Nick McDonald, OT, Grand Valley State
Garrett Lindholm, K, Tarleton State
Joique Bell, RB, Wayne State
Preston Parker, WR, North Alabama
Terrance Johnson, CB, California (PA)
AJ Jackson, WR, California (PA)

I really want KC to look into those two OTs. Also, he's not D2 but Matt Nichols, QB, Eastern Washington, is worth a look.

At a very quick glance...

Brandon Lang - OLB/DE
Tony Washington - OT
Jarrett Brown - QB
Jeremy Williams - WR
Blaire White -WR
Danario Alexander - WR
Lindsey Witten _ OLB/DE
Jeff Byers - C/OG
Ciron Black - OT Get him, RT help should be a priority.
Micah Johnson - ILB We DEFINITELY need ILB help.
Jay Ross - NT
Freddie Barnes - WR You know why. Our receiving corps still sucks.
LeGarrette Blount - RB Put him behind TJ for a year, solid back.
Stephan Johnson - RB
John Estes - C Stay away from him, wasn't good at Iowa.
Ekom Udofia - NT
Barry Church - S We seem to love DB's, he should be better than Morgan.
Stephen Williams - WR
Clint Gresham - LS We had problems in this area last year. Get him.
Nick McDonald - OT
Joique Bell - RB Could use all the speed we can get.
Preston Parker - WR
Terrance Johnson - CB
AJ Jackson - WR
Matt Nichols - QB

Might add Dace Richardson. He's a versatile guy from Iowa who was a victim of injury. Could be quality depth.A

Wile the rest of the NFL doesn't care about character as much as the Chiefs apparrently do, this is obviously a red flag that even the teams with the least concern for character find just too offensive to not throw up a red flag.

13. Andrew Lewis

College: Oklahoma State
Height/Weight: 6-4, 290

Lewis is a fifth-year player who will be a three-year starter in 2009. He has started at both left guard and center. He needs to get stronger, but he moves well and plays smart.

FD
04-24-2010, 06:16 PM
Andrew Lewis:
Strengths:
Athletic lineman who can play both center and guard. Quick off the ball and into his blocks. Gets to the second level, can run and block in space. Long arms, plays with leverage and gets some push. Technically proficient. Good in combination blocks. Scrappy and competes. Quick into his pass sets. Displays good balance, mirrors & slides well and can recover when initially beaten. Ideal fit for a zone-blocking scheme.

Weaknesses:
Not huge and doesn't have the frame to add much weight. Not powerful; more of a position/seal guy, though not what you would call a liability. Can be driven back by top power DTs.

Projection:
Smart, versatile lineman should be chosen in the middle rounds. Needs some seasoning, but has the tools to develop into a starter down the road. Snaps lefty, a rarity.

http://www.thefootballexpert.com/scouting-reports/michahjohnsonILBkentucky.html

Summary: Johnson, one of the leaders of the Wildcat defense, is a linebacker that plays with a great motor. He seems to be around the football every time he steps foot on the field. He has great size and displays good strength. I love his ability to react to the football. He does an exceptional job at reading plays; which is vital for the ILB position. Along with Johnson's strengths, there are concerns. Consistency is something that he needs improvement on. Consistency is one of the hardest things to improve, but Johnson needs to in order to improve his overall draft stock. His injury this season really hurt his draft stock as well. That may have had an effect on why he ran so slow at the combine and his Pro Day. Another area that stands out to me is the fact that he makes a lot of good plays, but hardly any of them are game changing plays. He makes numerous stops behind and along the line of scrimmage; and that is excellent for a ILB; however, in order to take Johnson's game to the next level I would love to see more game changing plays (INTs, sacks, forced fumbles ect...). Overall, Johnson has a tremendous upside, an excellent skill set, and the potential to be a great threat at the ILB position in the NFL.

Draft Projection: 4th\5th round

How loosely are we defining a "mistake"? Sex with the sister fits into this category?

well read his story, he was 16, he lost his home in katrina, he grew up from nothing.... it was consensual.... even though i dont morally agree with it, i think he paid the price X 10 for what he did.... he should not have to pay for the rest of his life for this....

I know that I pimp certain Division II guys every year. Some people may think I'm a D2 homer. I take great pleasure in watching a lot of D2 ball and trying to project D2 players to the next level. And I'm fucking dead-on, typically (especially with the drafted players). I watch more Division II games, from TV to in-person to actual coach's film (I did all the time when I was in college) than a lot of posters on this site watch BCS level games.

And in no way did I think that Mike Johnson was going to be an NFL player.

Yeah, I don't know, you have to draw the line somewhere with this character stuff... haha.

I'd read something where an anonymous scout said that it wasn't just that.... although it is a huge red flag... I believe it was that he has also already been married and divorced, just has a history of poor decisions.

You wouldn't want this guy as your teammate anyway. How are you going to rib him in the locker room?

Player: "Man, it was really hard out there today."

DeezNutz: "Yeah, that's what your sister said last night."

Player: "How'd you know?"

[/silence]

Vikings agree to terms with ten undrafted free agents

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on April 24, 2010 8:55 PM ET
We won't pass along all 300+ undrafted free agent signings because they aren't all interesting.

But when a team is nice enough to group all their undrafted free agents in one big group, we'd be selfish not to pass that list along. So here goes.

The Vikings agreed to terms (http://twitter.com/JuddZulgad/statuses/12792187934) with ten undrafted free agents, according to Judd Zuldad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

Quarterback R.J. Archer of William & Mary, wide receiver Ray Small of Ohio State, guard Thomas Austin, Clemson; tackle Matt Hanson, Midwestern State; center Tommy Hernandez, UC-Davis, wide receiver Aaron Rhea, Stephen F. Austin; strong safety Terrell Skinner, Maryland; wideout Kelton Tindal, Newberry; cornerback Angelo Williams, Ferris St; tackle Marlon Winn, Texas Tech.

From Consensus Draft Services

Michael Johnson

School
North Alabama
Height
6 ' 3.0 "
Weight
254 lbs.
Speed
4.75 ( Unofficial )

Strengths
Instinctual. Big and tough. Makes plays in both the run game and the pass game. Has hands for the pick. Comes with bad intentions and drives running backs to the ground. Laudable physicals. Intense, competitive, and hungry. Good kid who will work

Weaknesses
LOC. A little stiff and straight-linish. May not get a shot because of where he played. May lack some football IQ and may have a learning curve.

Projection
Smash-mouth football player who is far better than where he is likely to be drafted. 3-4th round talent who may actually go undrafted.

In Alabama, you might get approached for a threesome.

LMAO No.

I'll say this much: I can see why a team would pick him up. He was the D2football.com/D2 Magazine defensive player of the year last year. But lot's of D2 players of the year aren't NFL players.
