This weekend, I met 5 women who all told me they just got out of "bad" relationships. Where do I go to meet women who just got out of "good" relationships? LOL

The funeral home?
Getting let out of prison?
The Maury Povich show (after it is announced he is NOT the father)?

Funeral home isn't a bad strategy, just gotta watch the obituaries. :)

Does anyone ever say:

"I just got out of this really great relationship"

If it was good, they would still be in it right?

They use that as an excuse to not to be with you, or as a way to garner your attention.

Thats what I was thinking

I figured they could just as easily say "I am single" to get their point across, but they all want to emphasize the fact that the last relationship they were in was "bad."

I usually followup with a reply to throw them off like, "So your last one-night stand didn't satisfy you, huh?"

Honestly, I could give a damn how horrible her ex was, but women must think I do.

Women are all about the drama. They like to be the victim. If they got dumped, it was a bad relationship. If they did the dumping, it was a bad relationship. If they didn't get to go to the restaurant they craved, it was a bad relationship. Get used to it or start dating really big girls.

I figured big girls would just tell me they just got out of big bad relationships.

I'd really have to cry wolf on that one.

Good women in good relationships are usually still in them.

The available ones, especially recently available ones, aren't going to say they were dumped by a great guy.

You can always troll the high school parking lots. Every year, you get older, but they stay the same.

You do know that college campuses have parking lots? And they usually come with a lot less jail time.

When I met mine she had just been told by a shrink to take a whole year off from dating. I met her like 2 days later. Eternally grateful she didn't listen to that hack.

What word are they emphasizing when they say this to you?

I JUST got out of a bad relationship.

I just got OUT of a bad relationship.

Two very different things.

I guarantee you that she's in the Oval Office right now flipping through a Vogue Magazine and saying, "You expect ME to entertain the first lady of Uzbekistan? You invite people over, they're YOUR responsibility. And why haven't you gotten the aphids out of the rose garden yet? And by the way, I think if you had offered to cut a few more tariff items, you could have closed the deal on that Japanese trade agreement today. You should do that next time."

This.

I think that is their way of telling me they are "available", especially the one I met when I was leaving power and light on Friday. I told her I was headed to Blonde, and told her to meet me there.

When she showed up at Blonde, one of the first things she said to me was, "I just got out of a BAD relationship, so I am here in KC for the weekend"

Oh, really :)

But still, why not just say "I'm a single, grown ass woman?" I guess that would be asking too much though.
