I wonder why it's not just named "How Americans see the US" since it was obviously created by one.

Nebraska and Iowa are amusing. I don't think of any of those things re: Ohio or Indiana.

That is pretty much how everybody from the West Coast and East Coast thinks of any state not bordering the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean anyway

Iowa's isn't very accurate either, there are 20 states that have lower populations than Iowa. Hell they have more peeps than Nebraska and South Dakota combined.

Might as well just throw North Dakota in there two, and then it's about equal. They are the same thing anyway. That map says so.

I used to love telling people in New Jersey that I was from Iowa.

"Iowa?"
Yep.
"No way."
Yeah, not kidding.
"Wow. . . . Iowa?"
Yep. You should come see it sometime.

North Dakota and South Dakota are the same thing, except South Dakota fucking sucks.

The Black Hills are nice, but there are far better national parks to see in this country. Other than the Black Hills, fuck South Dakota.

That first one must be outdated, Mexicans do way more than mow our lawns and do our laundry. Now they also roof our houses, install our drywall and acoustical ceilings, process our meats and work in our restaurants as well.

I sometimes watch these BBC productions of movies based on Agatha Christie books. There will be an American character every so often and they're almost always portrayed as some loud talking, uncouth, and aggressive person. And the other characters refer to them as "the Yank", like "you know how they are" . It's funny to watch

We were in Kansas for at least two years before my mother in law (she lines in Western NY) stopped saying stuff like "Where do you live, Iowa?" when she called. She would just name any midwestern state, like they're all the same.
