Not sure if you all heard or not, but there was a recent shootout in West Memphis, AR where two cops got killed. Jerry Kane (http://abcnews.go.com/US/ohio-police-funeral/story?id=10730697) and his son were the two who did the shooting.

Is this the same Jerry A. Kane that writes for WorldNutDaily (http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=82521) and American Thinker (http://www.americanthinker.com/jerry_a_kane/)?

Edit: After more research... it appears that it is not the same individual.

Well, at first it was to find out if it was the same guy... since a lot of posters here read American Thinker and Worldnet, I thought they might know. If it -would- have been the same guy, the Planet would have been scooping a news story (as that news would blow up big in the blogosphere). Then it was to answer its own question, that it wasn't the same guy.

Hey,
I'll confess here. I decided to read up on this guy, because I've been curious about this shootout. So I googled his name. The first few things that came up were a few articles written by the guy on Worldnet and American Thinker. I then found out that the shooter and his son were anti-government, and that he made a living writing about mortgage and tax issues. So, I'm thinking... this is the same guy... and no one has recognized this on the national stage yet. Wow! My next inclination: "Holy shit! I've got to share this with the Planet. This is crazy."

Sorry that it didn't work out.
