When you think about a particular decade (start with the 60s), what colors or icons do you think are emblematic of that decade?

For example, when I think of the 60s and early 70s, I think about stuff like psychedelic colors or flower power flowers.

I'm not thinking about photographs. I'm thinking colors and graphics.

70's = Brown (faux paneling) and green (kitchen appliances).
80's = neon pink/neon green (shirts)
90's = red and green (checkered flannel)

Before 70's = black & white (TV)
70's = Pale Blue Denim, Avocado Green (tupperware & appliances)
80's = Black & White checkerboard + Neon (clothes)
90's = Dull, natural, plaid, Khaki
00's = Black dress up

80's for "ME" were a nice "Purple Haze"

The black and white checkerboard in the 80s and early 90s was what inspired this thread. I associated the late 80s with black and white and gold, and wondered if others did, too. I think maybe it was a decorating fad.
