Kurt Warner Attended The Chiefs OTAs Today (http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2010/6/2/1498253/kurt-warner-attended-the-chiefs)

Yes, you read that headline right. From Kurt Warner's (verified) Twitter account:

Woke up this morn[ing] and took kids to a Chiefs prac[tice] and then a visit to play some ball at Arrowhead stadium!

A new quarterback in town? I don't think so.

The connection here is likely Todd Haley. Warner and Haley were together in Arizona from 2007-2008.

Still, a bit strange to see a future Hall of Fame quarterback seemingly randomly visiting the Chiefs.

Warner may not have a great memory of Arrowhead. The first and only time he played there was with the Rams in 2000. If you'll recall, the Greatest Show on Turf got whooped 54-34.

He's probably there to mentor Cassel in ways not to suck at playing QB as best as he can.

Haley isn't the only connection, I think Warner still lives in MO. I think he also has a place at the Lake of the Ozarks- saw him at the lake once, years ago.

I was not expecting a response...but he tweeted back to me!

@kurt13warner Other than just having fun with your kids, is there any other reason you were at Chiefs practice?

@TheChiefsZone Visiting my old coach Todd Haley and got a chance to address the team... fun day!

Absolutely, one of my favorite games!

I'll never forget that game. I was watching it at a sportsbar in North Chicago with a couple of Navy buddies. There was a crowd of punks with brand new Rams gear on (I doubt if any of them had ever been within 100 miles of St. Louis) who were talking shit to me about how bad the Chiefs were going to get killed from the moment I walked in the door. BOOM BOOM BOOM 20-0! Boy did those idiots shut up in a hurry. By halftime, they were gone. It was great. :D

What's Warren Moon doing these days, maybe we can wheel him out in a wheelchair as long as he has half an arm left it's better than what he have currently on the roster my goodness.

Before you push "PLAY", just look at that lineup on the field against the greatest passer in existence at that time..........

I loved that St. Louis game!

So..We knocked out Kurt Warner, Trent Green came in. Less than 1 year later we signed Trent Green.

They knocked out Grbac. We brought in an old QB.

So.. We knocked out Tom Brady, Matt Cassel came in. Less than 1 year later we signed Matt Cassel.

They knocked out Brodie Croyle. We brought in an old QB.

One can only hope Matt Cassel is as good as Trent Green one day.

Just cause I'm nice..

But yeah, that was pretty bad. Nothing short of an average Cassel day though.

We gave Ryan Leaf his first win of the season.

A boy, sucker anticipated the doctor walking down the hallway, scrambled right out the womb, pump faked, and slid for a 1 yard gain.
