Absolutely... the "umpire's are part of the game" argument is lame... they were part of the game because we didn't have high speed cameras and computers back then... minimize their impact and let the FUCKING GAME be part of the game.

I'd make all calls instantly analyzed by computers and then relayed into an earpiece for the ump to announce the call... but leave his biases and faltering eyesight at home when it comes to calling the game.

the replay official reviews every play and if he finds a mistake he radio/calls down to corrects it. The Replay Official has until the next pitch to decide ... if he can't decide by then it's too close to call and stays as called on the field.

Each skipper has 1 replay demand each game where they can stop play and do an intensive replay review.
