It's not MLB, you don't retire as a member of a team.

You could poison your roommate and tell him the Jokes on him.

The trick is in the timing. you have to tell him while he is still with-it enough to comprehend what you have done but you don't want to tell him too soon as he just might take you with him. These things are a lot more difficult than they look in the movies.

I don't know that he will retire as a Chief, nor do I care.

However, I do know it's possible that he will retire as player that never played on a team that won a playoff game.

LOL.... seriously though, you don't retire as a player of a team. He'll retire as Tony Gonzalez
Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons

Neither of you win, which is what you both deserve for having a 'huge fight' over something so petty.

So.....uh.....what's the point of those one day contracts that players sign as they are retiring?

RedNeckRaider

Yes he will. I would be willing to bet large he will sign a one day contract and retire a Chief. This happens all the time with players that spent their glory days with a team and finished up with another team. This will be no different~

You're thinking of the HOF. Players semi-frequently sign one-day contracts with a team so that they can say they "retired as a ____".

Phobia

You and he are like 2 of the only people who really care. Derrick Alexander signed a one-day contract with the Chiefs a few years back in order to retire as a Chief. Why? Who really cared?

Yeah, I was thinking of the HoF, because that's all that matters... if they're actually arguing about whether or not he's going to sign a one day contract at the end of his career, then..... oh wait, it's a tommykat thread, of course that's what they're arguing about. :doh!:

your roomate is right. it depends on what clark hunt's stance is on immagration. with the new CBA running out the owners have to vote on it like everything else. only thing that will help is calls or letters to one arrowhead drive just like to your local congress.

just look at the roster. hardly any hispanics. javier arenas doesn't count so don't go there. matt guiterrez is on thin ice thats the word on the street.

He is a Chief only in memory.. HOF player but i'd say he pretty much jumped ship and it doesn't matter to me. We'll see in 10 years when he retires.
Matt Cassel should retire a Patriot.

i would assume he would retire a chiefs unless he wins 2/3 super bowls straight with Atlanta. Even then he would think about it.

most of his career is KC so he will retire a chief unless he duel retires ... didn't Marcus Allen dual team retire?

btw didn't the NFL say awhile back that the league would be deciding what "team" that players retire with from now on?
