I think they passed on Boise St for now hoping to get Big 12 leftovers.

Mark Kiszla (who, I guess, is Denver's version of Whitlock) recently wrote an article that Colorado should join the MWC, instead of the Pac-10.

I have nothing more to add.

KU Basketball will form its own conference, thus ensuring even MORE banners from the rafters!!!

They should do that in football as well, then they might actually have a chance at winning a conference championship.

MWC already has Utah

Yeah, my post was unclear... there were rumors that the PAC-10 was looking at Utah as well. Other reports said no to Utah, however the rumors still swirl.

With BSU declining it makes sense to hold off until something happens with the Big 12. adding BCS schools to the conference would be attractive to Utah; a team who has BCS aspirations (a +1 for Big 12 "castoff" invites).

Uhh they could have invited Boise St today an BSU would have said yes, but they decided not to invite them.

You said nobody wants BSU except the MWC, but the MWC decided against inviting them.

You would think that the Pac 10 would just grab the entire South Division of the Big 12. The rumors of them wanting to add CU has been going aroud for years, but it doesn't make sense with how they run their league. If things do end up going down as it looks that they will be, then I think it would be cool if KU joined the MWC with what is left over from the what looks to be former Big 12. We all know that they would absolutley dominate in basketball, and they might have a chance more years than not in football.

Fucking yearly road trips to UNLV. Sometimes twice a year, when we play in football at Las Vegas.

I understand if you are one of those t-shirt fans who never attends games but for the "true fans" this would be an awesome deal.

Ah I get it. I didn't read thru it thoroughly. I didn't know the MWC was really publically indicating they may add Boise. I meant nobody wants Boise except for the WAC. I mean they can't even play Sundays! :)

I actually saw a thread on a site that probably could be guessed, that wanted KU to go independent in Basketball. And it was well received.

The MWC would be a big step down from a power conference to a mid-major - and I don't care if the MWC attains BCS status from this (heck, the BCS may abolished soon anyways if these realignments take place). I just don't see anything that would actually improve for KU. Recruiting would be more difficult, IMO. Okay, maybe the football team would be slightly more competitive, but that's about the only thing that seems positive at all.

I'm a "true fan" who has football season tickets year in and year out and attends as many hoops games as possible. I wouldn't mind traveling to Vegas, but again, that's a very small positive in a sea of negatives for KU.
