Cool! I was expecting a short version of Anesthetize, but its 17+ minutes. Kick ass!

His voice on My Ashes goes a little funky

I know nothing of this band. But there's seems to be a tremendous amount of possitive buzz around them... so... where do I begin?

That's a tough question when it comes to PT. My first introduction was their album In Absentia (recommended to me right here on ChiefsPlanet by Siberian Khatru). That's probably their most mainstream, 'accessible' album for new fans.

I would also recommend Lightbulb Sun and maybe Signify.

Awesome. I'll check one of those out. By the by... what's their sound? Is there another band you'd compare them to? Just to get myself in the right head space - or is it better to go in blind (or deaf, in this case).

I just watched the Blu-ray of the "Anesthetize" concert... in a movie theater. The audio is nothing short of breathtaking. I wish I could watch every concert DVD or Blu-ray in a private, after-hours screening at a movie theater.
