So, just for a moment, let's give Barry the benefit of the doubt. Let's use some idiotic logic to say an oil spill is like a terrorist attack that killed 3,000 people and devistated a city.

And his reaction to it all is????

If he thinks an oil spill is like 9/11, I would really hate to see his response, or lack thereof, to a true terrorist attack.

This is one tone-deaf individual. He's beginning to make Bush look tactful.

LMAO You've got to be shitting me.

This fucking guy is insane to say such a thing. If I had lost a loved one on 9/11 I think I might feel deeply offended at such a comment. Yes, the spill is tragic. Yes, it is causing us pain both financially and ecologically.

But 3,000 people didn't fucking die!!!

Oh, and where was Obama when they had the Memorial Serivice for the workers who lost their lives in the explosion of the oil rig?? On a plane headed to California to attend a fund raiser for Barbara Boxer, Mrs. Envrionmentalist herself.

Personally I think it was.

They AT LEAST knew that it was going to happen, and they allowed it because we needed an excuse to fall back on to go to war.

This....

It is beyond "poor choice of words". For such an eloquent speaker, he really butchered this one. Must not have been a teleprompter nearby.

This is what Obama actually said, Drudge readers:

'In the same way that our view of our vulnerabilities and our foreign policy was shaped profoundly by 9/11,' he said, 'I think this disaster is going to shape how we think about the environment and energy for many years to come.'

Of course, what Obama actually said is buried 28 (!!!) paragraphs deep into the piece, following 5 screen-sized pictures clearly intended to stoke emotions.

So you tell me -- does what the President said make sense, or not?

So...If the dude had liberal balls, he would have said on day one, that this is EXACTLY WHY our country needs to get off oil, but he didn't do that. He dithered, just like he did on the decision to add troops to afghanistan. He is indecisive, apologetic, bow down, bend over and weak.

Spike Lee says he should get tough, next day he is sir whoop ass. Maybe he should try leading instead of giving a shit what everyone says about him?

In that it's going to take decades to clean it up. Also, the government response has been similar. I didn't ignore your first post, I just didn't find it very interesting.

You think we should "get off oil"?

Like, COMPLETELY?

He should be the Marxist that he really is. He should just come out and be honest about it.

That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You have literally set up the game in your brain so that the President cannot win with you no matter what he does.

If he does the sensible thing and doesn't overreact and claim we need to get off oil, you criticize him for not being aggressive enough.

If he does the aggressive, overreactive thing and does claim we need to get off oil, you criticize him for being too radical.
