A relative of mine is trying hard to find some old Eagles song that starts with whistling at the very beginning.

Thought I would see if any of the experts on the planet could help out with it because I have no idea at all what song she is looking for.

Whistling? Not sure. I'm not an Eagles expert, though.

Doolin' Dalton begins with a harmonica, perhaps that's the one he's thinking of. I can't think of any that start with whistling.

Well, if that's not it, I'm stumped. Must be a really deep cut from something ancient. I never owned any of the actual albums prior to Hotel California, so I'm sure there's stuff they've done that's never made it onto any of their greatest hits compilations.

No. And that's originally a Henley solo effort, although the band performed it (very well) on Hell Freezes Over.

I could be too tired to remember... but that was my first thought... maybe someone got it confused with one of the band's solo songs. If they were a very passive fan and only had a couple albums, like Hell Freezes Over... they probably wouldn't know the difference.

Maybe she's thinking of one of these & got confused on the artist:

Ahh... forgive my ignorance.

When I've seen them, the Eagles have always done various members' solo songs, always very well. On HFO they did acoustic versions of Henley's Heart of the Matter and New York Minute and Walsh's Help Me Through the Night that were absolutely amazing. When I saw them Saturday, they did Henley's Boys of Summer and Dirty Laundry and Walsh's Life's Been Good. Excellent work all the way around.

Oh good grief. It turned out to be a Steve Miller Band song. Jungle Love.

How do you mistake those two bands. LMAO
