aaLewis becomes the first member of the Chiefs 2010 Draft Class under contract
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club has signed fifth-round draft pick DB Kendrick Lewis.

Lewis (6-0, 198) was the first of Kansas City’s two fifth-round selections (136th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He appeared in 44 games (38 starts) at Mississippi, producing 226 tackles (140 solo), six interceptions, 18 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He also registered 10.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks (-34.0 yards) and two blocked kicks. He also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown.

Lewis earned all-state honors as a wide receiver during his senior season at Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia. He played his first three prep campaigns at O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana before being displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

The truth is Talastan this has been the most boooooring Chiefs offseason ever. It's been hard to keep up because well there just hasn't been any news. At the same time it's been the fastest off season can't believe camp is only a month away.

Boring is good. Ask the Jets.

I agree on how quickly time is going. I'm getting excited!

I was just surprised anyway glad we are starting the contracts now. Hopefully everyone gets accounted and signed by camp so we can keep up the great attendance from OTA's through to TC.

Hoping this guy can really cntribute. Looks like he could be a first year starter which I would not object to.

This isnt going to go well. Where is the CP braintrust to tell us that Pioli is failing by signing draft picks?

Eh, I'd rather have Page. I liked Page. thought he was good in pass covg. If we had a better pas rush our safeties wouldn't be exposed so much.

But gawd damn anything to get McGraw off the fucking field.
