Kansas forward Marcus Morris recently returned from the Amaríe Stoudemire Skills Academy in Chicago. He received an invitation to work as counselor at the camp for the top high school power forward and pivots.

Kansas University junior forward Marcus Morris has been chosen as one of 20 college players that will compete on the USA men's select team.

The select team will train against the 2010 USA men's national team during its training camp from July 19-24 in Las Vegas, Nev.

"I am very excited to play against the national team,Ē Morris said in a release. ďI think it is a great opportunity to see where my level of play is compared to NBA players. I also know now that people are watching me since I was invited to something of this caliber."

Morris is joined on the team by fellow Big 12 players Jacob Pullen (Kansas State) and LaceDarius Dunn (Baylor).

Lorenzo Romar (Washington) and Jay Wright (Villanova) will serve as co-head coaches for the select team.

Players on the select team will have a private training session on July 19, then will train with the USA national team from July 20-23.

"I know Marcus is excited," KU coach Bill Self said in a release. "He had a great summer and has been working hard on his game. He is very much looking forward to playing against many of the worldís best."

The USA national team will be preparing for the FIBA World Championship that will be held in August and September.

Cool deal.

He's gonna need to play like Jesus next year if Kansas wants to make a deep run.

He's been, and will continue to receive, a lot of hype this summer. I hope he doesn't let it get to his head like his teammate did last year.

I'm pretty sure he's not chomping pizzas, burgers, and hot dogs.

Eh, yeah. It works for both if looking at last summer. TT falls in that category too, but Sherron thought the game should just come to him and when it didn't he pressed and didn't impress.
