A recent comment from the ill one (on his show):

"Man, I haven’t seen this many girls on a football field since the last time we played the Steelers.”

He had that a period a few seasons back when he was beginning to delve into T.O territory. I'm glad he's back to having fun with the game instead of a constant pest in the locker room/media.

(Although you could probably still argue he always has been, I suppose...)

Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco apparently was feeling a little more mischievous than usual last night, what with the premiere of his new VH1 dating show, of which we saw just enough to conclude we never want to see any more.* So the attention monger tried to monger up some more attention via Twitter, posting entries that suggested he was arrested after getting into a fight with a bouncer at a New York nightclub.

He initially said that his friend left him outside and "they won't let me in without my I.D. the bouncer talkin bout JETS JETS JETS."* Chad later claimed "I just got in a fight with the bouncer, them damn boxing sessions got me on point."* He implied that he'd been arrested by saying "at least the police let me keep tweetin n the car?"

But then Chad claimed that he and the NYPD officers are "so awesome we are all headed to Starbucks after we drop the bouncer off at the police station for assault on me."* (At that point, it should have been obvious to anyone with an IQ higher than 25 that Chad was making it all up.)

Chad later directed a tweet at Commissioner Roger Goodell:* "Dad everything is ok here in NY, I have the situation under control, I turned the other cheek but he kept provoking me, thanks."

Then, this morning, Chad claimed it was "all a joke," explaining "that's the power of twitter."

The message?* Believe nothing that Ochocinco ever puts on his Twitter page, even if it's under the heading of "OCNN BREAKING NEWS," like when he suggested last week that LeBron James was going to end up in the place where Chad supposedly got himself arrested last night.
