In a house that we have listed. Any suggestions? Apparently the guy who used to live there had him in a cage when he was moving and then it got loose somehow, and he couldn't ever find him. He thinks it could be in the walls.

I'd find a small person and send them in first.

Get a midget to "check out the attic" and give him/her 3-4 steps ahead of you on the tour.

In all seriousness, there's really no way for it to get inside the walls unless there's a hole in the drywall somewhere. If it's anywhere it's in the ductwork, and the only way it could get in there is if a diffuser was removed.

Stake out a small dog or cat in the living room. When the snake comes to eat bring an axe. At least you'll get some new shoes or a purse out of this.

Get a stud finder. Look for a 20-foot sideways stud

I would call someone who does this for a living to remove it. The guy is a dipshit for having it as a pet and a bigger dipshit for losing it. Pet snakes  Boots are all they are good for~

You could use something like a rabbit as bait to lure him out, but that could take a while depending on how hungry the snake is. Pythons/Boas can live for a long time without food and if you do lure him out, you are going to need a way to catch and transport it. Is it possible the snake went outside?

The other option is to fall asleep in the middle of the living room floor, when it wraps itself around your neck you know you have him right where you want him!

Not to mention that a 20-foot boa will probably eat about the equivalent of a small rabbit each day. If it's in the house, it's not gonna survive there for long.

Sprinkle moth balls around . They don't like that smell and he'll start moving and show himself. I have to do that from time to time. I found a rattler on the living room floor curled up sleeping about a month ago.

How much would you pay someone to come up and look for it?

How much if it's found to make it "go away"

I'd assume a 20 footer would stink even worse.

Send in a snake-eating gorilla to take care of the problem. When wintertime rolls around, the gorilla will simply freeze to death.

I would recommend getting a 60 foot rapter and releasing him in the back yard. He'll easily find the snake and gobble him up.

Of course then you'll have a 60 foot rapter to deal with, but hey, you didn't ask for my help with those, so you're on your own.

Someone needs to do him a favor and whack him in the head a couple times with a bat. Then he'll have an excuse if he "forgets" anything. ROFL
