I had a bad toothache yesterday and today I woke up the front side of my mouth was swollen. Problem is I don't have insurance so I went to urgent care they gave me antibiotics and recommend I go to a dentist for further work. So does anyone happen to know a place that does dental work for those without insurance?

He's not in the KC area.

However, if you want to take a trip I'm sure he'd yank that tooth right out for you. :D

Just went through the same thing yesterday. Delta covered 100% of the office visit, 80% of my root canal and 55% of the crown I'll get next week. I am going to spend more money on one tooth than I did 2 strippers in Vegas.

UMKC Dental College -My Parents took me there as a kid. It must've been cheap! Pretty good service though. I believe they are students nearing the end of their study, not beginners.

Cool thank you. Someone else recommended the same anywhere that I can get on a payment plan is ideal as i'm sure this will cost atleast 2k.

Dr. Bagby in Prairie Village is pretty reasonable. My insurance pays, but he didn't seem as bad as anybody I've had before.

I used to go there as well :) When I 1st moved down here there was a dentist in Rockaway Beach that would do most dental work for a fifth of whiskey.. Unfortunately he died.

I was lucky to happen to run into somebody at a family gathering who's a dentist. She did emergency surgery apparently the people at the urgent care didn't know shit gave me antibiotics that didn't work and didn't know much about infections heres the golf ball sized abcess on the roof of my mouth

I think all dentists will take a patient without insurance, but you have to pay for the procedure the day it's done and you don't have the convenience of them accepting what the insurance company will pay.

Even the dentist I go to accepts insurance but he does not accept the write-off, I have to pay the difference up front.

I went to the dental college a few years back. Tell them you are in pain and they will work you in the schedule, otherwise it is a few months before you can be seen. I was seen by several different students at varying levels of schooling during the process. The actual extraction was done by an advanced student. The cost at the time was $39 for the extraction and $25 for the emergency fee. $64 total for a molar extraction.
