Uhhh...I doubt that.

Speed had Dennis Hopper, Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Daniels.....

I'll give you Dennis Hopper but Reeves and Bullock were stiff as boards and Daniels was pointless.

None of them even come close to Denzel.

Well, I liked Speed, but remember I was a kid when it came out. If I like this movie as much as Speed, then it will be okay in my book. I haven't watched the trailer yet because my grandmother has company over at her house. I'll be watching it shortly.

ROFL Is this a Demonpenz impersonation?

I'm waiting for Fraz to pop in here on that. ROFL

Hopper was a stretch as well because direction was awful in that movie as well.

That and this storyline looks TERRIBLE. How they could make that much "action" type drama about a runaway train? WTF! GAY.

Why in the hell were there 5 guys shooting at the side of the train as it passed by? It's a fucking train, you aren't going to stop it, and the bullets wouldn't even come CLOSE to penetrating anything. WOW, just wow.

Don't get me wrong. I'll be waiting for it to go to the cheap theater here in town. Definitely not something I would pay full movie price for. That distinction goes to movies like Inception.

Denzel is overrated. He plays one character. Sure, he plays that character well, but outside of that he has no range.

I tend to agree to an extent but you can basically say the same about many iconic actors.

Hes sort of coasted the last 10 years or so....

But hes Not one dimensional at all. Watch some of his real early work like St Elswhere, Glory and Malcom X. Excellent actor.

I'd like to see Denzel cut loose in a silly comedy. He does 'bad guy' very well. He won an Oscar for his role in Training Day.

Denzel is my favorite actor, so I have to see this.

That's too bad. "Unstoppable" has been one of my favorite personal adjectives/catch phrases for a few years. Now I'll have to find something else. :cuss:

Exactly. He's chosen to be one dimensional after showing range early in his career.

Deja Vu, Unstoppable, 123 Pelham, Inside Man, etc etc have all been the typecast Denzel we've all grown tired of.
