I guess we have a baseball game this afternoon in a battle of who sucks more, but more importantly, we have 3 prospects pitching today. (For crying out loud Crow, do something, you're dying on us!)

It makes me sick to see this projection for Hochevar and Crow.

Swap Hoch & O'Sullivan and that's my thoughts as well. In a perfect world where everyone doesn't flat-out bust, of course.

Swap Hoch & O'Sullivan and that's my thoughts as well. In a perfect world where everyone doesn't flat-out bust, of course.

Probably so, which reinforces the notion that you shouldn't pass on top position players at the very top of the draft. If there's an elite position player and an elite pitcher, there shouldn't be a debate.

Oh hell, if no one busts? It isn't going to happen, not even close, but if we want to be silly and pretend it does? Well, you thought Tampa Bay is good...

Based on everything I've read, I have this strange thought that Myers is going to end up being the best of the bunch. Followed by Hosmer...........and then Moosetacos.

Right. Of course, I'm meaning bust to mean like flat-out worthless to a major league team outside of replacement level play. Like, Giavotella is a risk for that. He's either a nice 2B or a AAAA player. Won't know until it happens.

That's my thinking as well. Myers has so much upside and Hosmer is a more complete bat. Moose looks to me to end up like Alex Gordon with more power, or put another way, Adam Dunn without the walks.

Is there some kind of music we can play to get fired up for the ninth inning? Something with that DRAMATIC feel to it?

Awww I've got Aardsma on my fantasy team!

Oh well, I'd rather Alex hit a homer and keep the game close than win a meaningless fantasy game.

Did Yost really allow Blanco to bat instead of pinch hitting with Kila?Well, according to Fever, Yost was "trying to get some speed on base for the power of Kila", or somesuch. It makes perfect sense in Crazyville.

even if Blanco extended the game and Kila tied it...

Who the hell is our catcher in the 10th? Why would you pinch hit Kila for our catcher instead of Blanco when our other catcher is the DH?

Because when you have the opportunity to bat a .200-type hitter with absolutely no power, you just have to take it.

in games that actually matter, every prospect of note in Wilmington did well today. Aaron Crow did not suck. AA and AAA beginning shortly.

They can have any five players of their choice on this team, as long as they take Blanco back.

Ned Yost: Honestly, I'm not sure what we see in this guy that makes him any better than Tony Muser Pena Bell Hillman V

The Royals were doing quite well under his leadership until DeJesus got hurt and Podsednik/Callaspo/Farnsworth/Ankiel got traded. No manager on earth could do anything with the current roster.

Ok. I understand the DeJesus point. Even Pods.

Callaspo, Farnsworth, and Ankiel are trash, however. It shouldn't be asking the world for someone to be smart enough not to fucking play Blanco-fer, or Spork-lite.

I'm not saying those guys are great, but Callaspo and Ankiel would be superstars in the current lineup they have. And Farnsworth, as much as we all hate him, was having a great year.

The Royals' lineup today featured 1.5 legitimate major league starters (Butler and maybe Betemit). There is no manager in the world that can be expected to accomplish anything with that.

Giavotella hit a game-tying 2-run homer to send it to the 10th for NWA.

Giavotella has been on fire lately. And Myers. Hosmer's cooled off a bit...but when you're hitting a HR a night, that's bound to happen.

I went and saw the Naturals last week in Springfield, and Giavotella was by far the player that impressed me the most. He was smoking the ball every time up.

Beat the Royals 2 out of 3.

YOU"RE FIRED!!!

Guess he should have gone for the sweep!

SEATTLE (AP)—The last-place Seattle Mariners fired manager Don Wakamatsu on Monday, more than halfway through a season that began with a boosted roster and hopes of making the playoffs for the first time since 2001.

The Mariners started the day at 42-70, the second-worst record in the American League.

Daren Brown, the manager of Triple-A Tacoma for the last three-plus seasons, took over on an interim basis hours before a game against Oakland.

Hell yeah, he was fired. The M's pitching staff surrendered 5 runs (in the 3-game series) to that shit-assed Royals lineup. That's pathetic..........
