The race baiting hate pimp is back...again. I guess calling LeBron a runaway slave wasn't enough.
Now we have JJ asking Amurika to please back off the President. Seems he's taking too much heat.
With Republicans consolidated as the party of white sanctuary, anchored in the South, and Democrats championing diversity and inclusion, the politics of race is accentuated.
Note to JJ and other diversity loving liberals: diversity is not confined to the color of one's epidermis. Diversity can be found in ideas and philosophies as well. Or even work ethic. But, that doesn't really interest you all that much.
But given all that, have we ever witnessed anything like the unrelenting assault on Barack Obama?
I'd say "yes, we have". Seemed like Clinton had an awful tough go of it at times. Nixon as well. Oh, and Jimmy Carter is up there as the worst President ever. And I'm no fan of GWB, but ya'll seemed to go after him pretty hard on that Air Force Reserve thing. But okay, Barack has it hard too. Guess that's the price you pay for being the 2nd most powerful man in the world.
Zero votes for financial reform in the House. Zero votes for the recovery act. Zero votes for health care reform. Judicial and governmental nominees blocked for months by senatorial "holds" grounded on nothing but wanting to obstruct the operation of the government. Now every major vote is met with a filibuster, in numbers we've never seen before, rendering the Senate virtually dysfunctional.
It's called compromise. It's the reason so many would rather have gridlock than one party dominance. It's the reason many would like to have more than two dominant political parties.
If the Dems had put forth something more balanced and centered, or allowed amendments, I suspect some Repubs would have joined in voting for some of these measures. But we're talking about spending Billions and Billions of dollars at a time when our treasury is just cranking out cash and our economy is in the shitter. Now's not a time to compromise on principles just to avoid being seen as an obstructionist.
But thanks for your concern about the efficacy of the Senate.
And in fact, the single act that has done most to reduce projected long-term deficits -- by more than $1.3 trillion over the next 20 years -- is health care reform.
Huh? Can someone verify this? HRC is going to shrink the deficit $1.3 trillion?
People have the right to say what they wish, particularly in political speech. But having the right does not make it right.
Neither does shaking down companies for "diversity settlements" and then using that money to pay off the mother of your illegitimate child.
Dr. King always taught us to appeal to the better angels of our opponents, even those unleashing dogs and armed with billy clubs. It is a lesson we should not forget.
There it is. I was waiting for that. And to wrap up this nice little piece, JJ reminds us that anyone who opposes Barack is an armed agent with attack dogs. Just like those cops that attacked those involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Nice touch.
