As a spinoff of the other two "10th Anniversary" threads, I thought it would be interesting to see how everyone's lives have changed during the course of time on the Planet. I'll eventually add a poll to the thread, but I'll take nominations for poll options for a bit first.

So...give me your ideas! Here are a few of the obvious ones:

-Graduated high school/got a GED
-Graduated college
-Got married
-Got divorced
-Had a child
-Started a business
-Got laid off
-Changed jobs
-Moved 200 miles or more

Got married, got divorced, started working again, moved to overland park.

That was all in 2001-2004.

Not much has changed since then.

I would probably identify my life by the video games I've played. Some great titles since 2004.

-No longer vomit at social functions
- had automobile and emotional breakdown at social function
*slide down the ladder
- Watched valued posters fade away and then go completely ghost
- Suffered enough n00bs to feel like starting a Skip fan club
- When I (dragged kicking and screaming) came to CP the Chiefs won more games than they lost
-When I signed on I was single and had hair. Now I'm a step grandpa' (3 times over) and my hair is uncomfortably similar to Mr. Fantastic of the fantastic 4
- Now that broadband is fairly cheap and available I use it to be exactly the type of loser I made fun of 10 years ago...

Hard fact of life because I was focused on Man when I get out of high school it's going to kick ass, or man When I get ouf of college, it's going to kick ass, or when I get this job it's going to kick ass. It's your resposibility to make NOW kick ass. Nothing is ever sweeter later. My life has been awesome, but if I got into my skull that having more money, more woman, more shit can actually take away your happyness Yeah yeah....I knew it at the time, but I didn't know about it 100% that the shit you are chasing could very well take away from your happiness. so young guys. Stop accept the fact that the goals you are chasing may take away your from your quality of life.

2000 was a lifetime ago...

Graduated college
Got a crappy job
Got a slightly better job and a new car
Got laid
Got a MBA
Got a much better job, moved to Omaha, traveled the world
Moved back to KC, got a better job (well, at least pay)

I've seen my little brother & sister graduate high school, and my brother graduate college... several friends married/kids/houses/white picket fences/etc.

The difference between 20 and 30 is indescribable.

Same job (started in April 2000), got married in 2001, moved to the suburbs, bought a townhouse in 2001.

Started with three cats, two died, got one new cat, and probably a new replacement cat next month.

I guess the biggest change is cars - I've had five different ones since 2000.

-got more dogs (border collies)
-hate the Chiefs more
-despise the Mustard & Ketchup even more than before
-had emotional breakdowns watching the fuggin Chiefs pull out miracle wins against Oakland
-freaked out & learned to hate God for ordaining that KC should win in Oakland when they had no earthly chance of beating a superior team when the sons a bitches tallied up an overall victory record against my team that really deserves to do so much better than that poor excuse for a franchise that resides in Kansas City that really is the Texans but has yet to return to their home state where they really belong and that continues to plaque one of the most storied NFL franchises that resides in Oakland and now I hate the fuggin Chiefs even more.

I've moved across country a couple of times. Great experiences that enabled me to do what I enjoy the most, which is exploring this great country.

And this website inspired me to make some life changes which led me to losing about 180lbs to this point. It's crazy that I'm not done with that, but the home stretch is in sight, and I'm now only fat in body, no longer mind, and soul. I can't even begin to express how fucking powerful that is.

Oh, and I got my first dog. Outside of my wife, she's easily the love of my life. Such an awesome dog.............
