1) Too bad terrorism is political and not religious.
2) All religious want the world to convert to their way and embody it in their law.

Untrue on both accounts.

Heh, here's a Buddhist trying to find examples of forced conversion within his own belief system:

Untrue on both accounts.

Sorry this is pure opinion with no substantiation. Research by conservative historian Robert Pape shows that the common denominator for terrorism is occupation or perceived occupation of one's lands.

I would exempt Jews from #2 because they don't evangelicize. Perhaps Buddhists too. But just talk to some devout Christians, even Catholics, their goal is to spread the word to convert. Once enough people do, you can betcha' that the laws will reflect the customs and values of those people generally.
In fact, I've heard some say they want this.

The mother and father wanted their own daughter to marry a 53 year old sex maniac, and when she refuses, they kill her and are proud of it?

Muslims are such charming, lovely people. LMAO

VEHARI: A 14-year-old girl was killed in Vehari on Wednesday night allegedly by his family for refusing to marry a man they proposed.
Published in The Express Tribune, February 4th, 2011.

Rafia’s father Mukhtar Hussain and an uncle were arrested by Luddan police on Thursday. The police said Hussain and his brothers – former nazim Muhammad Ramzaan and Farasat Hussain – killed the girl by giving her electric shocks.

SHO Mirza Asif Baig said that Mukhtar Hussain had admitted to killing his daughter. He said Hussain wanted to marry the girl to his 52-year-old cousin, Saeed Ahmed. Hussain told the police his cousin was married but had no son. He said they had registered a case against Hussain and his brother.

The victim’s mother, nominally the complainant, told The Express Tribune that she did not want her husband to be jailed. “My daughter was a disgrace to the family. We can’t tolerate our children disrespecting their elders’ wishes so we killed her,” Mukhtar Mai said, “why would I want my husband to be punished? He did the right thing.”

She said that earlier she had wanted to marry Rafia in her family. She added that she withdrew her decision once her husband and his brothers decided to marry her to Ahmed.

Ali Muhammad, the girl’s grand father, also endorsed his son’s actions. He said Rafia had previously tried to elope with a neighbour.

Experts said that in such cases the court had the power to set aside any attempt by the complainant to withdraw or settle the case or pardon the murderers.

Sayed Faisal Raza Bukhari, a criminal law expert, told the Tribune that in honour killing cases where the complainant had withdrawn or intended to withdraw the FIR, the court had the right to intervene and punish the offender. He said Section 311 of the Pakistan Penal Code vested the power in the court. He said it was meant to stop people from abusing the judicial process.

Section 311: ta’zir on waiver of qisas

Ta’zir after waiver or compounding of right of qisas in qatl-i-amd:

Notwithstanding anything contained in Section 309 or Section 310, where all the wali do not waive or compound the right of qisas, or [if] the principle of fasad-fil-arz the Court may, having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, punish an offender against whom the right of qisas has been waived or compounded with death or imprisonment for life or imprisonment of either description for a term of which may extend to fourteen years as ta’zir.

Provided that if the offence has been committed in the name or on the pretext of honour, the imprisonment shall not be less than ten years.

Explanation:

For the purpose of this section, the expression ‘fasad-fil-arz’ shall include the past conduct of the offender, or whether he has any previous convictions, or the brutal or shocking manner in which the offence has been committed which is outrageous to the public conscience, or if the offender is considered a potential danger to the community or if the offence has been committed in the name or on the pretext of honour.

Why Islam is Different and Dangerous

By Alan Caruba

Imagine that every day of your life begins with a morning call to prayer from minarets around the city or village in which you live.

Imagine that you are required to pray five times throughout the day, every day.

Imagine that the law of the land is based on Sharia, taken from the Koran.

Imagine that you live in a nation where stoning women, beheading criminals, and other draconian, ancient punishments are deemed acceptable.

Imagine being Muslim and knowing that conversion from Islam is punishable by death.

Imagine saying or doing anything that might be interpreted as disrespect for Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, can get you whipped or killed.

Imagine a religion that has no tolerance for any other religion, even those that existed for two or three thousand years prior to Islam.

Imagine a religion that sanctions suicide if it is done for the purpose of killing others.

Imagine a religion that has routinely taken over the temples and churches of other faiths and builds mosques in their place or a religion that builds its mosques upon the most holy sites of other religions.

Imagine a culture that reduces women to chattel owned by their fathers and their husbands.

Imagine a culture that permits the killing of women for “dishonoring” the family.

Imagine a religion in which a close associate of Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, said, “We have not reached parity with them. We have the right to kill four million Americans—two million of them children—and to exile as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons, so as to afflict them with fatal maladies that have afflicted the Muslims because of the (Americans’) chemical and biological weapons.”

Imagine a religion that, on Iranian television, June 25, 2004, says, “May Allah, by virtue of the Hidden Iman, remove the evil America and Israel from humanity.”

A recent news report says “Al-Qaida is on the verge of producing radioactive weapons after sourcing nuclear material and recruiting rogue scientists to build ‘dirty’ bombs, according to leaked diplomatic documents.”

In his book, “In the words of our enemies”, Jed Babbin, wrote “Like the Nazis, the radical Islamists play on the same sense of persecution and cultural inferiority that many people in underdeveloped nations possess because they are oppressed. And, like the Nazis, the Islamists have convinced their followers that the problems of their world are the fault of others. The Islamists blame every ill of their world on America, the West, the Jews, and Israel.”

The Middle East and Northern African nations in which Islam dominates are in a state of turmoil, seeking to overthrow the despots that have ruled for decades. No matter who is selected to replace them, Islam remains the guiding principle in the lives of their people.

Imagine a religion that divides the world into Dar al Islam, the land of Islam, and Dar al Harb, the land of war.

They cannot be accommodated.

They negotiate only with the end goal of achieving domination.

They cannot be deterred except through the use of force.

The translation of the word “Islam” is “submission.”

We share the planet with 1.6 billion Muslims and we must either convert them or defeat them.

Anonymous home video productions on youtube are why we don't need books and universities anymore.

Neither do we need sources for arguments either.

Hey, I'm not a fan of al Qaeda or Muslim terrorists. But I'm not going to put on a show about how the Islamic religion is inherently evil. I know enough Muslims to know that's not true.

You want to talk about three things you may not know about Islamic terrorists? Let's hear it. Because I know it needs to be stopped. But it's not going to be stopped by youtube videos spreading this sort of message.

I'm not going to join the chorus of condemnation of Islamic people. A lot of them don't deserve that.

People marry off their 14 year old daughters to 50 year old men in the name of Jesus too.

It's okay though because at least in this case the girl wasnt killed.

We are starting a new section for children - Hammer & Popsickle - where the nation's young ones can get indoctrinated, in an entertaining and subliminal manner, about the romanticism of class struggle and the evils of capitalism. Our first installment explains why Iran has the right to build nuclear weapons in order to wipe two illegitimate entities, Israel and the United States, off the face of the Earth.

Twelfth Imam is Coming to Town is a sing-along version of the famous carol (with a great rendition playing on the background). The Islamic Republic of Iran's governing council of mullahs and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also believe in Santa Claus - only in their Shi'ite creed Santa is called the 12th Imam, he is known as the Mahdi.
