What's worse...losing to a I-AA school or losing to a team that lost to a I-AA school?

Iowa beat a better team by virtually five tds and dropped a spot

I dunno, I think they are about right 20-25 in rank... We just EXPECT so much more from them that it's easy to be down on them now...

I can easily see them undefeated going into the Iowa game (where they will likely get killed)

I can easily see them undefeated going into the Iowa game (where they will likely get killed)I think this year is setting up just like last year. They should have lost yesterday (and would have if they hadn't rung crist's bell in the first half) - I actually felt better about them after the uconn game than I do now. I said it in the week 2 college thread: I think their defense is even worse now than it was a year ago. Although I really like the way the sophomore Roh is looking taking over for Brandon Graham, they just don't have much talent (or size) on the defensive line and they're paper thin in the secondary.

And I don't think Denard Robinson is going to last the whole season if he's running as much as he has the first two weeks. Michigan really needs one of the backs to step up and help shoulder the load.

I don't think they'll 0-fer the Big 10 this year, but I don't think they're going to stand up very well against Iowa and Ohio State. They should end up better than last year, but they're not quite there yet. He needs another recruiting class.

Texas clearly has some issues to work out on offense. Rice and Wyoming should have been out of both games about 10 seconds after the opening kickoff.

If you look in the official KU game thread you would see that yes, many MU fans gave KU props. Not for the current rankings but for a well played game. Really, I don't think the rankings should start until conference play starts.

Yeah, if Landry Jones plays well, OU will be hard to beat. Nebraska scares me more than Texas does. But you never know with OU / Texas.

I don't need to see the game to know that it sucked offensively.Actually they looked very good on offense. They lost focus in the 2nd half. Putting the ball on the ground and penalties held them back from putting up 50+. Idaho couldn't do a thing to slow them down.

Grats Mizzou. I am glad my Hawks win helped you out. Before conference I want all the b12 teams to win. Helps out the SoS once we get to the real games.

Who am I kidding, I am just glad as hell they didn't end up 0 -fer the season. As bad as they looked against NDS was as good as they looked against GT. Strange season so far.

They're one dimensional at this point. Martinez is a threat, for sure, but play anyone with a good D line and/or LBs and your O will be shut down.

Did you watch Oklahoma or Alabama? Those were examples of teams beating up on very good opponents. Did you see Missouri go up 50-0 inthe third quarter before pulling starters? That is absolutely throttling an inferior opponent. Nebraska beat the hell out of a rummy, but they made a lot of mistakes while doing it. Other teams looked more impressive, and you moved down a spot. It happens.

We'll see how it goes... I think the Hogs can win @ Georgia this week, making them 3-0 and hosting the 3-0 Tide in Arkansas. I like the location for this one in a couple of weeks. Anything could happen... the Hogs nearly won AT Florida last year.

So, we'll see...

It could happen. Mallett needs to be on his A-game; if so he will find holes in the 'Bama zones (if the Penn St. game is any indication).

How's the Arkansas run defense so far? The Hogs are going to need to be stout against the run to even slow down Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram's production.

You said it. The run D will have to be beyond stout. Juggernauts can sometimes be slowed but not stopped. Bama rips the AR hillbillies by 21 points.

Last year, Bama throttled the Hogs in Alabama... mostly through the air.

Defensively, it's hard to really tell at this point how much better they are, but based on what I've seen, the defense is improved. Defense is the key in this one for Arkansas - obviously, but I think it will be a close one either way.

Mallet has a lot of options and the offense will do well on the home field.

I never doubted that ohio state is good. I'm still not sold that they're a Championship team yet. I think Pryor still needs to prove he's a better (and more accurate) passer. He's a damn fine runner, though. Your D is good and deserves credit for pressuring Jacory into a lot of those mistakes.

I agree 100%, under 15 yards he can be very inaccurate, sometimes he makes you get the WTF look.
