Ryan Matthews was just taken off on a cart. His ankle was badly hurt. Pretty nasty looking play and I wouldn't be surprised if he broke his ankle.

Good news for the Chiefs.

I can't say I am happy to hear about any player getting hurt.

I hate to see that.

I also hate to lose him off my fantasy team.

But the Chiefs are 2-0 and I feel GREAT!

Hate to see a young talent felled like that.

Matthews was a nice runner and was primed for some pretty big things, IMO.

Oh well, let's keep the run to the divison going.

if they would have held him on the sideline for only 11 carries a game like we do JC they wouldnt have had this problem!

I agree that it sucks to see a guy get hurt. That wasn't the point of this thread.

It definitely could change the landscape of our division though.

Maybe a new bidder in the Vincent Jackson sweepstakes will be Buffalo?

Marshawn Lynch or Fred Jackson for Vincent Jackson and a pick?

That is EXACTLY what my friend I'm watching games with just said.

The Packers and Chargers would both be wise to kick the tires on Lynch.

He's not done, he's just not a HR hitter. He's a younger Thomas Jones, IMO.

Teams could do a hell of a lot worse than Marshawn Lynch.

Chargers should have "saved" him for when it mattered.

Wow.

Matthews just jogged out of the locker room.

Can't believe he is able to jog on that ankle after how nasty it looked.

He was a soft, turnover machine....

Very unimpressed.

But yes, he was going to hang 170 and 2 tds on the Chiefs or something like that... :hmmm:

@Adam_Schefter (http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter) Quick recovery: Chargers RB Ryan Mathews is back on the field, in uniform. X-rays on right ankle must have been negative. 1 minute ago (http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter/status/24967045543) via web

I'm Fresno State homer, and Mathews was my favorite college player last year... Him getting drafted by my LEAST favorite pro team just sucked. I want the Chargers to suck, but it's hard for me to be happy about Mathews being injured. Unfortuantely, they're doing pretty good w/o him.

Jesus dude, that's not cool.

Why is that not cool? Is it not good news for the Chiefs if he was out?

I don't understand what is wrong with saying that. It's not like I was celebrating his injury or anything.

Great. I hate to see anyone hurt except for probably Cassel. Perhaps a little dent that will recover in a few months while he gets paid.

karma

What the fuck does karma have to do with saying that one of the best RBs in the division being injured is good news for the Chiefs? Is it not good news? Again, that isn't celebrating anything, just pointing out an obvious fucking fact.

Wonder if Norv still plans on giving Matthews 300+ touches this year after something scary like that?
