I think we lose a well fought, close game.

It depends on a few things.

Cassel has to be at least average.
And Arrowhead has to affect Alex Smith

If those two things happen, I think there's a decent chance we can win. I think this is a case where the Chiefs have a lot of lucky breaks going for them.

What are the odds that San Fran plays as well in Arrowhead, as they did in their MNF home opener on Monday? It's far more likely they play like they did in Seattle. Our fans will be louder, and it's a short week for them. TJ, JC, whatever. We're winning this game. Mark it down.

You have to get some breaks to win with an offense like this no matter who the opponent is.

No.

But I didn't honestly think they'd beat SD or Cleveland either.

I thought they had a good chance against SD. Opening night, Arrowhead, two holdouts and LT gone. In fact, I was disappointed in the way they beat them. I figured the offense would be a little better.

I definitely thought they would win against Cleveland.

Before Monday Night, I thought the Chiefs would win. Now? I don't think so. The problem with this is that the 9ers aren't as good as they played on Monday Night. They played their 'A' game. They still turned the ball over and lost. I don't think they can duplicate that effort.

But, I also don't think they will play like they did against Seattle.

At home, there is a chance, but I still think the Chiefs lose.

nope. I honestly feel we lose.

1. Niners defense is for real and very tough
2. The more desperate team usually wins...the Niners are desperate
3. QB. Smith isnt very good, but hes better and more athletic than Cassel
4. Vernon Davis will dominate

ONly way i see us winning is if our D plays lights out and special teams have a game similiar to the Bolts game.

Well hopefully, there will be enough noise to disrupt both Alex Smith and Jimmy Raye.

It's hard for me to imagine the 49ers playing well enough to win in KC after their first two showings (and getting whooped in Seattle) but anything can happen.

I'm picking the Chiefs.

Despite the stronger performance, the 49'ers showed a penchant for stupid mistakes and turnovers in critical situations. At home. Full of energy and backed by their crowd.

They're coming off an emotional heartbreaker followed by a short week. Our coaching superiority will show through even more on a short week. They're traveling east to a place they haven't won in for a long time.

And I don't think we have to do a lot on offense to win this game. Last I checked, Jimmy Raye was still calling the plays in to Alex Smith. And on the road, that doesn't work too well for them.

Being somewhat ignorant of SF's talent level, who besides Willis and Davis does SF have that is so talented over the KC equivalent?

I am talking a definite advantage in match ups.

OL - SF

DL-? Seems to be SF

LB-? Aside from Willis- depends on DJ

CB-KC

Safety- KC

RB- KC I think

QB- ??? Depends on both

TE- SF

ST- KC

WR- KC

Crowd - KC

Coaching- KC ?

I'm actually thinking it's going to be something along the lines of 34-13 SF. Unfortunately. I think they're a legitimate contending team. We're not. It's going to be gray and drizzly and the crowd may be out of it halfway through the first quarter. The youth on the roster paired with the QB means we're going to have some really ugly moments this season, and I think this may be the first one.

9ers are VERY overrated based on a close LOSS at home against a team that's clearly not as good as it was last year.

I'm not betting on it but, yes, I expect the Chiefs to win this game. I expect the defense to get off the field and I expect Arrowhead to bitchslap Alex Smith. We will win the field position battle easily. The offense is clearly a weak spot right now, but they're still top 5 in the NFL in rushing and should be able to move the chains. The 9ers aren't the Steelers like they're being made out to be. They're very good, no doubt, but the Seahawks RAPED this team just 2 weeks ago. The fucking SEAHAWKS, who Dungver smashed last week.

At worst I think the 9ers get a 10-14 point edge in the mid-late 3rd and Cassel shits himself over and over. Not much the crowd or defense can do about that. But I don't expect that to happen.

As always, the other team is getting too much respect. Gore is great but they *should* do a decent job on him. And Alex Smith is a turd. Last week was a mirage. He'll look like a bottom 5 QB this week, just like he did in week 1 and has for most of his career.

Anyone remember their last visit? 41-0 Chiefs. Damon fucking Huard lit them up, and the dogshit 2006 KC defense shut those fuggers out. Sure, they're more talented now, but it's just sort of hilarious how people pump the opponent up all the time. Especially now with an 0-2 team, all because they looked OK in a MNF home game.

I honestly can't get a feel for this game. The Chiefs are playing decent defense and exceptional ST's. Their run game is solid but we need Cassel to step up.

IMO the 49'ers have more talent but they have been inconsistent which has led to stalled drives and defensive breakdowns.

That being said, with the home field advantage vs. a team on a short week is something I think helps KC. The main thing for me is Cassel must play even better than last weeks 2nd half for the whole S.F. game to be able to pull this game out.

Edit: JC needs more touches too!

The ****ing SEAHAWKS, who Dungver smashed last week.

Damon ****ing Huard lit them up, and the dogshit 2006 KC defense shut those fuggers out. Sure, they're more talented now, but it's just sort of hilarious how people pump the opponent up all the time. Especially now with an 0-2 team, all because they looked OK in a MNF home game.

TBH, the same exact shit can be spouted about us.

Lets not be foolish here. The only thing we have going for us in this game is...well...us, the fans.

Both QB's will shit the bed, but Alex will have a better game. The 9ers have a better chance of the moving the ball on us then we do on them.

Lets be honest, we won our last two games because of Defensive and Special teams TD's.

Those don't happen that often. Eventually, our luck will run out.

Only KC beat a Super Bowl contender at home and a bad team on the road. SF lost to a Super Bowl contender at home and got fucked by a bad team on the road.

Other than that, sure. And other than my cock, applesack and hairy nipples, I'm more or less a woman.

Good defense is not luck. Nor is good special teams. For every Brandon Flowers pick-6 or punt return TD, there's an Eric Berry biting on the run costing a huge pass TD. Those aren't gonna happen often, either.

Their luck will run out when they start giving up 4 or 5 yards a pop or when the OL starts giving up pressure after pressure and sack after sack.

Even though they've become lamer than the average SNL skit
it will take the mojo of tags to keep the game remotely close

I think you meant Adam's apple, and Hairy sack,....

*CupidStunt drops pants*

Oh......ok........applesack it is then.

Seriously though if our run Defense converts back to French military front line, I'll shoot myself. Nothing is more painful than getting gashed for huge gains on the ground while DJ, and crew are trying to dance around blockers, and ending up so out of position that Bobby Bell's ghost says "Who's got a penny?" "I could play LB better than that in Whoopie Goldberg's body"
